So you are saying we have two classes of citizenship. That granted to naturalised citizens who have to pledge allegiance to the Queen and those born here, who don’t. So does that mean that we can go and fight for a foreign power without any chance of having our citizenship revoked?
Fair enough. Said this before about Wales and will say again, until the people turn out and actual start ****ing voting on something, I can't say I give a **** about the whining of a massive, massive minority. The Senedd election turn outs are pathetic. 46% of the population voted last time and 70% of the people who even bothered to turn up, voted for British parties. I know you're gonna say voting is pointless so it doesn't matter, but, it would help to show an indication that people give a **** about anything in Wales. The turn out in Wales is 20% less than that in Scotland and Wales has half the population. In comparison, Wales turned out 71% of the population to vote FOR Brexit.
Lol, yeah this. Amazing how many people just accept it all without question. Subservient subjects to a Monarch, an institution that only exists due to rich people stealing, raping and murdering to claim land, people and assets in order to maintain power and control. It's all dressed up in benign pomp and pageantry these days, marketed as some warped view of patriotism and justified for spending £bns on as it's a symbol of 'britishness' and it's nice tourist attraction. For me it's the most glaring example of the divide between rich and poor, and the special privileges afforded to those with wealth. ****ing grotesque when people are on their knees just trying to put food on the table and pay the bills. It's designed to cement the elite's power base and all the fancy uniforms, crowns, medals (that are never earned) etc are maintained in that way in order to remind people that these people are superior to you, you are a serf and you better not get any ideas about challenging the status quo. Know thy place lowly peasant **** off
If she was white and called Charlotte, the story would have been about how she'd been groomed and trafficked Too brown and Hijaby for that though, so she's a Terrorist instead.
I was going to say, and you beat me to it, Nonce Andrews mistake was going with a white American, he should have nonced on a brown British girl and have been safe.
I applauded corbyn when he said he wouldn't take the knee for the queen...... fkng right and all ever heard the term don't lower yourself....keep an equal footing?
All new British Citizens have to swear an oath of allegiance as follows: I (your full name) swear by Almighty God that on becoming a British citizen, I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, her heirs and successors according to law. Its essentially the same oath that new MP’s, the armed forces and JP,s have to make. But you said that as a freeborn (whatever that is) Englishman you don’t have to make that pledge and are not bound by it. So we now have new citizens who have pledged their allegiance to the ruling monarch and existing ones who haven’t. Its a fairly simple concept. Hopefully you can understand it now.
Labour still hold a strong lead in Wales, no doubt. But socially, the Welsh are very in tune with England. Thing is you need to pay attention too is Wales' population growth, over the past few years especially it's been massive. These are mostly White English crossing the border and buying homes. This has changed Wales' voting trends, Brexit was a big one, Plaid Cymru losing votes every election, unionism, monarchists. You also have no real demographics in the UK, you're either White British, Grey British, Purple British and so on, so you have no idea who in Wales considers themselves Welsh or just "British." It's why I laugh at the idea that Wales automatically would choose independence if Scotland did, the two situations are nothing alike.
I have taken no pledge nor sworn an oath to any Queen. If new citizens are asked to swear an oath, I suppose it’s up to them whether to do so or not. I think members of the armed forces do too. Not me though. What loyalty, or love, I have for my country has nothing to do with any monarch. Maybe if I met Alfred the Great I’d be impressed, but the current bunch of Hanoverian interlopers mean nothing to me.
I don't think the Senedd is worth a ****ing thing. It's possibly the only institution in the UK more corrupt than the House of Commons.
True.........wales for me is not a country it's a way of life......that way of life was having little, working hard and sharing spoils equally and building a community which respected and looked out for each other interests..........them days are horribly disappearing as selfish fkrs are everywhere and its not just some of the English....infact most of the English ive known living around aberdare have been salt of the earth.
It's in the pocket of the same people running London dude im afraid.....again its just another illusion we have power lol
