Do you watch the Saints at St Mary's?

  1. I couldn’t give a toss

  2. If I haven’t something better to do I might watch them

  3. Can only be arsed to go to a game if they are playing a good side

  4. I would like to go to every game but that is not always possible

  5. I go to every home game

  6. I go to every home game and as many away games as possible

How do you like to support the Saints?

This poll was started as a consequence of another thread in which most respondents replies fell into the first three of the above options particularly the second option.

Bit of a silly question really! What do I think of them? I love them and will always support them through the good days and the bad. How do I like to support them? By getting to St Marys when I can to watch them and to wear the shirt with pride

I go to as many games as I can a season, but I haven't got a bottomless pit of money. I will go to all of the away games in London area as I live in Kingston and about half the home games.

When they are good I have good thoughts, when they are moderate my thinking is a a bit indecisive, when they are bad I think very bad thoughts.

I would like to go to every game but that is not always possible

I voted this but as per my post on your other thread the latter is almost always the outcome in that it is almost never possible for many reasons including the cost, the distance, the other things that are in my life.

Rightly or wrongly putting food on the table, paying the bills, and other such things are a priority for me over travelling all the way down south to attend matches at the club I love. Would cost in the region of £200 a month to see 2/3 games and that would mean I would have to ask the kids if they minded a day or 2 a week with no food, no music lessons, no after school activities and I haven't the heart to ask them.

You can call me a coward now Thank you for the insult and goodnight

I don't believe this. This is a recycling of your last post St. G Did you start this one when things got hot on the other one? You cannot measure someone's love for the club by their attendance. I used to work in Saudi, and in 1976 had a ticket for some little game Saints were having at Wembley. BA industrial unrest or something left me stranded at an airport not even being able to listen to the game properly. So obviously I was rubbish because I wasn't there for that one (I wangled time to see the 3rd round, 6th round and semi-final, but hey missed the replay (round 3) and rounds 4 & 5) so now humbly apologise. In future I shall wear sackcloth to matches and crawl up the steps of St Mary's in penance. I think I missed a game in 2003/4 if we are confessing sin. Awful, I know.

i am fast beginning to think that all saints fans on this site are complete morons the first 3 options on this poll are poinless cause i'm pretty sure if your signed up to this site then you would like to be able to go and watch the saints, seems to be a few idiots that think they are better than the rest cause they go to every game, imo that just means that your life is only about southampton fc which is very very sad. grow up people lets stop bashing each other its becoming very embarassing it won't be long till we're the laughing stcok of this site.

Maybe best to remember who is posting...Mr Godders is being controversial to prompt a bit of an argument, if you don't like it then just ignore or give a witty response. As it is, I am like many others, which is that sometimes life gets in the way of Saints.

I've had 2 people on my ignore list..both off it and on parole now. The trouble is that curiosity always makes me view what they post anyway..so not much point. Obviously have little self control.

I have been to 14 of the 15 league games this season, only missing burnley away but it doesn't make me a better fan.I only went to around 20 games last season because of finances but i still felt the exact same passion as i do this season.Like i said on the other post if people can't go because of honest reasons like no money or can't get there or work then that shouldn't be criticised, what i don't like though is people picking and choosing what games they go to based on the opposition,if you can afford it and have no other commitments you should go to the games against poorer opposition in my opinion.
