The icing on the cake would have been a tree creeper. They work in a circular motion up and down the tree looking for insects in the woodbark. A small bird, quite a dour brown colour but their activity is unique. Only ever seen a couple.

Usually a good chance of seeing them at Highnam Woods (Gloucester) and from one of the wild hides at Slimbridge. Fascinating little creatures.
