Elgar himself never liked the way his music was used by the establishment and as a result his musical intentions are often misunderstood.

Thanks for the tip...if it was with Paul Gray in the line-up, I might stand a shot. Paul and Mrs B have become pen pals. I have always been a huge fan of the bloke and his bass playing, but Mrs B has probably overtaken me now.

Stuff from the Roger Armstrong archive has come up from time to time since his death. There were some unused Smash it Up labels available last week which were more in my current budgetary sphere. If anything comes up from The Nips, especially relating to their single Gabrielle, I'll be in there bidding (it's my youngest's name and we had to have a name from a song after naming our first Eloise). At Rebellion, we got Shanne Bradley to write her a personal message and recently acquired a rare German pressing of the single.

For insomniacs and those with too much time on their hands...

Spot Captain in this Motorhead TOTP appearance...

A bit more difficult this one of Marc Bolan, again at TOTP...

CLUE - He's with Rat and it's hard to see if they're smiling.

The Japanese love punk...and The Damned probably more than anyone anywhere else on earth...

    I love these guys...

...their name is a Japanese understanding of The Damned's Machine Gun Etiquette.

This acetate has been much discussed on Damned forums. A couple of others have been sold in the last decade, one belonging to Rat, which reached about £3k. The other sold for £2627....

    https://www.popsike.com/THE-DAMNED-...l9gVSW-VfI5U41tcF-l_tD1Q-sfcpAc3CJ11bVlwWhOcA

It reignited the debate as to whether we have reached or are approaching a good time to sell your collection. By about 3/1 people agreed that it must be close to the best time to sell up....but many could bring themselves to do it. I'm glad that I've played the **** out of mine.

    Anyone familiar with this...

It came up on a forum on Mrs B's facebook...I knew the name but I'm not sure that I've ever heard this before.

If you like Iggy or early Damned...this is for you. Possibly the cross over from The Detroit Sound to punk. Really great stuff.

Brilliant EP that was totally **** for random tracks, as it had about 90 blank ones.
