Seems like a decent bloke. Doesn’t seem to have the tools capable to compete in this league. Cut and dry really. Better to part ways now while we’re still in the infancy of the season.
The ex Huddersfield chap who got sacked In Greece. seems to the biggest rumour on twitter (not saying it’s true)
Baz is still churning out articles about him being given a stay of execution and what he needs to do to turn it around
I think Corberan got them to the play-offs - it was the German manager whose name escapes me who left when they were relegated
I think Shota needs to realise that in the championship you need to score more goals than the enemy and if you let them score more goals than you then you probably not going to win.
I'd say yes he was. Awful luck with injuries, but still. And 100% he will have had a big say in what he wanted / needed. Along with Acun, he spectacularly misjudged and then unfortunately just didn't seem to have the attributes to get anywhere near the best out of what he did have available. Sad day if he is now gone - just like with Slutsky, I really wanted him to succeed (like I guess nearly all of us did).
He said many times that he wanted to play 5 at the back, despite bringing in several attacking wingers, no wing backs and only having 4 recognised centre halves in the squad. The recruitment absolutely does suggest some variation of a 4-5-1 was always intended but Shota never said that.
That’s him and then made it even worse by giving the world Hart to Hart. Don’t think he was much better as a football manager!
The same owner who sacked Coberan is allegedly looking at Steve Coopers performance this season as Forest manager
It’s the right time for Shota to go. He’s enjoyed some fantastic support from the terraces up to this point, even though I’ve never read or heard of anyone who seemed to truly believe he could do it, at any point of his time here. If he leaves now, it’ll save any unpleasantness. He can go with everyone’s blessing and well wishes. Simply put, we need a manager who can turn the ship ‘round – and the common logic would be someone who has a track record in this division. If the regime have an open mind, I think, given Acun’s drive and vision, we could attract an excellent manager. Here’s hoping.
