Absolutely. You'd think they'd learn a little from the criticism after Prince Phillip died. It's not like there's been no time to plan it all either. I'm in the strange position of having a day off tomorrow I didn't want. I'd already booked clients in for that day so it's buggered up my work for a week or two. The bit that got me swearing was while checking my leave allocation online I noticed it's been taken off my entitlement so I'm losing a day. I questioned this (difficult as the NHS haven't been able to employ a replacement for my last boss who's escaped the chaos) and just got a shrug and 'that's the way it is'. Enforced mourning is meaningless.
Two MPs have been murdered in the last seven years, one in broad daylight and one at a public event, I think its safer to be David Beckham.
I sincerely hope the day of the Queen's funeral is dry and unseasonably warm. I will be watching the funeral like the proverbial hawk with the express purpose of being alert for the slightest sign of a bead of sweat on one particular person.
The queen died over a week ago but is still lying in state so people can file pass. No disrespect but won't things get a bit ripe? 13 hours waiting to bow at an empty box? Please correct me if I'm wrong but seems strange.
Very thick lead lining, and vacuum sealed, so it’s like a tin of John West tuna. It never really goes off.
It is important that they do this, so future generations can open it and see her perfectly preserved.
All this brings to mind cemetery congestion. People should have been buried upright instead of horizontal, loads more room.
You’d have to dig the hole deeper, that could cause dangerous work conditions in some parts of the country
