In the midst of all this speculation I'd like to say a personal thank you to Steve Morison for all he did with the development team, keeping us in the Championship and for starting a new footballing ethos Thank you Steve. Good luck for the future and I hope you're ok Doubt he'll read that but I had to say it
Looking at that list I`m tempted to apply for the job myself, winning one game in seven seems easy enough to me.
Brenda is not someone I would choose but undoubtedly could do a job with these type of players, mostly because I think he just sends the players out and tells them to get on with it.
On a personal level, I'll echo that. Never got to like the bloke but that shouldn't count and detract from what he brought to the club. Unfortunately in this cut throat game, the past doesn't matter and it's all about the now. Opinions seem to be that we have not been good enough over these opening 10 Championship games plus the Carabao Cup loss to League One Pompey was a poor performance. Good luck to him but rightly or wrongly dependent upon your opinion, we move on.
He could have done great things, he could have been a contender, but he let himself get in the way. Lets get a new manager in before Hudson does any more damage.
Yeah. I just wanted to say an unconditional thank you. Plenty being said about whether his firing was right or not
I had great expectations from him and I liked what he was doing, somehow he got lost in it all. In an ideal world I certainly would be saying give him time and he will get it right, but the last few games just showed he lost the plot and was moving away from what he started.
Please dont mention Brendan Rogers. Anyone thinking hed join us is seriously deluded. Has to be said the club is a complete shambles and is going in one direction under this ownership and thats downwards. I doubt they have any clue who they will appoint.
I think that's a very good point about "letting himself get in the way" Sweetblue. He seemed to react personally to any suggestion of errors of management judgement tending to blame individuals for not doing what they were told - Watters and Zak Davies were typical examples on the pitch. Off the pitch, suggestions have also been made about uneasy relationships with Tom Sang and Rubin Colwill.
Well I can`t have the managers job just because I have not got some coaching badges, so instead I offered to give a lecture one a week on some simple logic such as if you swing your foot up in the air that is where the ball will be going and making sure one player has a job to be on the post when a shot or cross is coming in.
Actually it is probably going to be Scott Parker as he has championship and premiership experience and a promotion to his name. Also he likes his teams to play the passing game.
