    Nobody knows why though??
If we had not lost yesterday are you suggesting he’d have been sacked - it has to yesterday’s total embarrassing, lack lustre, pathetic display (and all he could say was we should have had another penalty).

    And therein lies the problem.
A board that has wasted millions on rogue appointments and player signings, are left to do it again.

    Interesting though.

Despite previous blunders (let's hope they've learned from them), it's better than sitting on your hands being prepeared to rebuild from League 1.

Surprised this has happened so soon. We are a team in transition and our football style has definitely improved. I would have thought we could have assessed our position at the World Cup break.
I suspect something has happened behind the scenes to expedite this move.
One thing for sure, Hudson is not the answer and I do hope we don’t employ a hoof ball replacement which will take us back to square one.

You'll not be surprised to read that I totally agree with you.
The frustrating thing is that someone may come in and do a job but we'll never know how SM would have done.
Perhaps we can have a 5 year ex manager divide like our West country friends.

Sorry Sparky, nothing definite about it.

It just smacks of the typical short term, instant gratification that modern fans and clubs (and life in general) seem to demand and think is a given.

I would loathe us to become a Watford or a Chelsea, sacking managers several times a season.
How the feck are we ever supposed to build a solid ethos and identity if we give each manager less than a season in charge?

I'm sorry but I refer back to a previous post, Morison had to be given until Christmas at the very least based on the size of the overhaul he had to make.

We could see ourselves end up with Chris Houghton or even Warnock back again, is that really what we want?

I certainly can't see us tempting Pep or Klopp to leave their current roles to help us carry on our development.

We could easily live to regret this...

.......or we could live to laud this?

I don't do "instant gratification" - it takes a long time these days........<laugh>

    Disgraceful decision.

Club is a complete joke from top to bottom.

Cant think of a worse sacking.

    We deserve all we get.

Morison IMO succeeded in changing the clubs football style and should be credited with that and in effect saving us from a relegation scrap last season with some excellent loan signing.

But also IMO he failed to bring in enough quality players this summer. He had a clean sheet of paper and admittedly little finance but maybe he should have concentrated on bringing in 4-5 better players than he did to supplement the likes of Sang, Denham, Bagan, Colwill, Harris etc Out of the 17 not one has pulled up trees; they’ve all got faults which have been highlighted in most of our games this season. (I appreciate he’s been unlucky with Collins, Davies & Adams)

Who comes in? Bellamy would be a popular choice. The usual names will be thrown out but as usual whom at the club have any idea of football matters?

It HAS to be some kind of behind the scenes bust up surely?

None of our league defeats have been hammerings and in every single defeat we COULD have got something out of them, even if we weren't the better side over the 90.

They'd better damn well have someone lined up because we can't afford to drift without a manager in place.
Maybe it's a calculated gamble and we're expecting Forest to sack Plug and we can then bring him "home"??? <doh>

Thank goodness for the international break. I may manage to calm down by the time league football resumes.

I honestly can't recall when I was this annoyed at the club.

We have had a Jekyll and Hide team under Morison, he has a stubborn streak that allowed Watters to start in 8 games, Harris starts and scores and doesn't start next game, incredible!
To see such fine football, then to have it taken away by his faffing about.
He had his best team out in the first half against 'Boro, then he decides to change the style of play for the second half (they didn't go out and decide to play like that in the second half, they done want he wanted) tactically inept.
Lets hope whoever we get in allows the boys to play the way we know they can, this is a fine team if not constricted to defensive duties
2 week break so good timing methinks.

Maybe a bit premature, but acceptance by Tan of the real possibility that we might have to rebuild from League One was never on the cards.

We don't know all (or any) of the circumstances surrounding the decision and perhaps we never will, but a brave move that some think foolish - we shall see.

It was stated after the game Harris wasn’t totally free of a dead leg but he could have used Watters or a makeshift striker rather than crassly playing Robinson up front on his own who looked like a fish out of water.

We have 3 points from 21 in the last 7 games. I will tell you what any manager is expected to do and that is win football matches. This is not a charity where any manager can lose matches and be given more time to lose more matches. I supported Morrison right from the start last season and he has done so much good but his ego has cost us dear. Winning 3-0 and change to side and the playing style and hang on for grim death. Drop Harris with the feeble excuse he had a dead leg then he comes on second half with more energy than anyone. Bring Ojo on for the last 3 minutes, go from a back 2 to a back 3 after starting with 2 when we won 2 of the first 4 games. He refuses to have Bagan (who scored 3 goals) on the bench and drags O`Dowda back from the attack. The best of all was starting Watters for 8 games. 10 games is mre than enogh to get your best starting 11 but he hasn`t done that.

It was suggested to me that Watters had been hauled in by Morison and told he was being taken out of the frame completely for a month for him to think about his game.

He would play no part in these last two game (which he didn't) and thereafter the fortnight international break.

Things were not right at the club at personal levels.

Dead leg in the first half but ok to play in the second when Morison needed him, I don't fall for that baloney.
If thats the case start him and sub if its causing him a problem, seemed to run around ok when he was on the pitch.

Must say I would not have sacked him, work still to be done.

Looks like the board want things on the cheap.

If we go back to route 1 we will lose loads of fans.
