I don't know where this magic wand argument has come from, but I think the point is merely that Newcastle are still relying on the **** players that have failed for years. If anything it's the guys that got told they were wrong all summer being proved correct. They deserve to be apologised to or a tip of that hat not being dragged into secondary areas of debate.
Agreed. Panic buttons are being sourced but not pressed yet. Our home games we should be winning this comfortably. But we struggled because we don’t have the quality in midfield. Something that we agree all screaming for.

As usual CC fails to look at the whole picture with comments about Bruce. CC you should ask what West Brom fans think of Bruce. Then ask Bournemouth fans what they think of Howe.
I don't think they'll go down, but I believe injuries are a season long issue not a temporary hurdle. I expect another long struggle and tbh the added time and the goal disallowed last match will bite more over the coming weeks.
We haven’t been able to break down teams for 15 years or more. That’s why I just don’t think - if we can’t get the players we want - that we should be setting up like Man City’s B team. It doesn’t suit invite Bournemouth on then hit them, or move it quickly in attack, or swap the wingers and ping crosses in. We could’ve easily gone 442 today at half time. Would’ve made loads more sense: Howe needs to be much more adaptable. And less fearful.
I hear you. But we have gone from a good start to a very average start. Im not losing my beans yet. The reality is we are controlling the games now at home which is good. We look hard to beat. But we also look very safe. I think the next 3 games may be very important.
Nobody has said it won't take time though they're talking about where the club is now. They were right in the summer and took abuse for it, so I think it's highly unkind to be critical today rather than say ok fair enough.
I agree on your formation point. I said earlier he needs to be more brave. He could have gone 4-4-2 and the game dynamics change. He is not for changing it up. Wood isn’t my flavour but him and Isak up top would have been better when the crosses came in with no one there.
But some are wanting all the players bought by now. It will take time. Yes the Club aren’t going to be winning the PL this season but by heavens have we improved significantly over the last 10 months. To slag off the Owners and/or Howe because we haven’t bought all the players we need and are still having to rely on poor players from the previous regime is just plain stupid.
442 won’t work. We have nobody who can head a ball forwards. Burn is **** at heading for someone if his height. Wood is even worse. Added to that 442 requires quick paced wingers who can cross a ball. We don’t have any of them either. as a back up to wingers not working out crossing from the by line you need the full back crossing from deep. Today trippier would have passed the ball back to pope before trying to cross and targett would have fallen over the ball and given it away. our best chance of anything today would have been coming through the middle between Bruno and Joelinton
They'll soon turn on Howe just like they did on Bobby, but that's just the way it goes. Howe's got some rope to though and quite alot of it, but if nufc lose the next 2 the noises will start. The same guys saying no win in 8 under Bruce will start up eventually and go after Howe unfortunately.
I don’t think anyone is slagging them off yet. I think they are just a little concerned with the very safe average start we have had. And today is a missed 2 points whichever way you look at it. I think we will be mid table. But we have spent 200m and we have 1 win on the board against Forrest. That isn’t good enough really.
And that is what we where doing today. Crosses coming in from deep and no one there. Trips and target can cross. They do. There is never anyone there. Miggy is ****. There I said it. He has to be moved on. Fraser same. But we need to try something different. Howe is in danger of becoming very predictable.
