Big pile of ****. Could have played till Williams coronation and not scored. Carbon copy of palace game. Don’t care how much Diaby costs go get him in
Spot on Newcastle have been figured out just so play rafa tactics because they carry no threat whatsoever with possession football. It'll take 5 or 6 signings to get the ball rolling.
I reckon Bournemouth players were on the deck for at least 20 minutes of the 90. We’ve done this for years and now need to figure a way to open these type of teams up without praying for a set piece to help us out
Is it just my phone, or has everyone posting huge posts just saying boo ****ed up anyone else being able to get onto your match day thread
We are predictable and poor. Howe's believed his own hype and has thought he can make a team with Fraser, Almiron, Longstaff, Willock and Wood play the same as one with Silva, De Bruyne, Rodri, Grealish and Haaland. Last season, when he came in, he instilled belief into the players - but other teams turned up to take the game to us, and we would be dynamic on the counter which meant we picked up unlikely wins. This season, he's then tried to dominate possession but we are SO easy to defend against teams are just sitting a little deeper and it's ****ing easy to stop us winning. Howe needs to wake the **** up and fast. Minute 1 - Almiron gets the ball, then stops our own attack because he checks onto his left. 427 times later, in the 80th minute, Howe makes a change....bringing on Murphy (a right footed right winger) on for Fraser. So all the **** that happened ALL MATCh on the right now happens for the remaining 15 minutes on the left too. To compound it, with 5 to go, Wood comes on....for Almiron. So we now have someone who might win a header and no ****ing winger crossing it. Honestly, Howe has had an absolute ****ing shocker today, I'm literally disgusted at how poor he and his team have managed this match. There was an arrogance about us, as it it's "only" Bournemouth. Then you realise Fraser, Almiron, Willock and Longstaff probably wouldn't get in the Bournemouth team. Well, we realised it - Howe seemed bemused by the whole thing. As I said in the Summer, going into this season with Murphy, Wood, Fraser, Almiron, Longstaff, Willock all being relied on for goals was a really stupid gamble. Players who have proven, time and again, they can't cut it given yet another chance?? It's mind-blowing. Eddie Howe' basically got 4 Harry Maguire's. Either he works this **** out, and fast, or he can **** off.
Often many are quick to get on Maxi's case but it makes a massive difference him being on the pitch. Even just the threat of what he can do means space for others.
Whilst agree it was a **** game I dont know what else Howe could do player wise, I don't for one second believe he is satisfied eith Almiron or Fraser starting and Murphy in back up but we are where we are and it takes time to change bascially the whole squad
Could have gone with Anderson as a central attacking midfielder and out wide players as normal instead of inverted when it was blatantly not working.
Trippier was ****ing **** today. Stopped everything flowing down the right by passing backwards all the time and I don’t think he ran with the ball once. Rather than cracking a number of free kicks he let targett waste them with the same **** set piece time and again. I have a feeling that injury has ****ed him more than we know
My bad sorry. Push Bruno up then and leave Joelinton/Longstaff back. Wingers should’ve switched. We’re drawing with Bournemouth in a dire match, and are missing one player from the starting XI. It’s alarming.
