Take Figs out of the firing line and then sort the midfield. Problem sorted adequately till January at least

I said after one of the friendlies that I was worried about these signings. The championship is a bastard of a league. It requires character, aggression, strength, bravery, consistency and some graft. These signings don't have it, and I sense a split in the dressing room between the show ponies and the 'more average' players.

Think he was brought in because the fans and the pundits said we were too young at the back and inexperienced .So we bring in a guy who can only head a ball if at all - they forgot to look at his feet

After this latest shower of sh1t I am firmly in the Shota out camp. He clearly is out of his depths. 3 of our last 4 performances have been total garbage -we weren't that bad against Sheff Utd, but in the last 4 games we have conceded 11 and scored 1. Our play lacks any sense of direction and purpose and if were Acun I would be using the international break to sound a replacement. Who? Dyche -maybe, or I'd be approaching Derby for permission to speak to Rosie - at least he knows the club and has a lot of experience playing at this level, I'd even take Nigel Adkins back ATM - other people will throw other names into the ring. Shota is just another Slutsky - nice bloke but not good enough

Is Oscar carrying a knock what pace he had has gone and he’s targeting the defender not the ball like he did in the early games - very Eavesish I the last few games . I like the guy but the service to him is also like it was with Eaves chest or head now - missing Tetteh !!

I saw the conference immediately after the game. Was already pissed off so didn't really analyse anything much. Yeh he's finished, he knows it himself. It's pointless feeling pity and saying he deserves more time. When you can see he himself doesn't believe he should have more time. Why should we take pity on that? I'm bored of his downbeat interviews..

I’ve been in pub all day but second goal looked to me like Baxter caught figs leg which caused it

also figs is a attacking the ball centre back he’s not doing that now. Greaves is and he’s the cover
That’s not his role he isn’t a reader of the game
Bould attacked everything adams read it and covered
I don’t think greaves and figs fit together

Not exactly -we've brought in Figs - who has been a little less than useless -and MCloughlin hasn't had a kick. Also we played with 2 defensive midfielders for much of last season - this season our midfield has by and large gone missing

I agree a big problem is the midfield has no grit and get walked through at ease . What baffles me is Shota was brought in with this reputation of great attacking football but even that side is clueless , wouldn’t be half as bad if we were losing 5-4 in Kevin Keegan style madness , but even those attacking players look clueless when they have the ball . Not really sure where that reputation of his came about

If he did, it was minimal contact, I have no idea why figs went down like he did
