Emerson is *okay* as the RWB on the sole proviso that Kulusevski plays at RW. His absence in the last few games has really highlighted Emerson's weaknesses while also allowing opposition sides to completely ignore our right flank and double up on our left flank instead. I think it was B&W who first pointed that out.

My tuppenneth -worth on the RWB issue...

Emerson is (very) limited. Certainly better when he is supporting Kulu, but still not up to it.

Doherty was dogshit in his first few months, but was looking good at the end of the season until the (assault) injury. He hasn't had a chance to show his current level yet this term, but I still think he would be an improvement in Emerson.

Spence is untried and untested in PL, but from what I've seen of him, his pace alone will terrify some teams. Leicester are struggling, look in disarray as a club and may be short some key players.
Today is a day to let Spence get some PL minutes under his belt. As they say - if he's good enough, he's old enough :emoticon-0148-yes:

Totally agree mate. Really excited about Spence. Yes he's unproven in the Prem but he certainly has all of the tools to be a brilliant RWB. By all accounts he's been impressing Conte in training.

My worry for Spence is that Conte was very clear that he was a club signing for the future. Made it sound like he wouldn’t feature much this season.

Hooefully he’s impressed the boss in training and will get a chance soon as that RWB spot is so problematic for Spurs.

He was in the team that won the training game yesterday, apparently.
So was most of the bench, though.
Tanganga, Skipp, Bissouma, Sarr, Gil, Sessegnon and Spence. Hmm....

It has to be said that most of those players have skillsets that would be lethal on a half pitch: Spence's pace, Gil's dribbling, Bissouma's sheer bloody-minded wreckingballness, Sarr's everybody forgetting he exists

I was on holiday in New York once and my mate who had recently quit smoking said loudly after a big meal “I could murder a ***”

Safe to say he got some weird looks from fellow diners

Perisic on the right as Conte hinted in the presser and Son dropped for Kulu. Sanchez also in for Romero who apparently has a bit of a knock.

Pretty much called that in the Sporting thread.

Nice to see a bit of rotation but yet another kick in the bollocks for Spence, not in the squad again and Perisic is moved over from his preferred left side, essentially telling us all Spence isn’t even 3rd choice RWB. Early days but I do wonder if he’s regretting pushing through a move to us instead of trying to go back to Forest. I don’t think he’s gonna get a look-in under Conte and for the life of me I have no idea why when looking at the other two RWBs.

I think he’ll have to get a chance eventually with the games coming up ahead of the WC and I can’t help but hope that he’ll have a blinder and convince Conte. He has all the ingredients of a Conte fullback.

Here’s hoping this fires Sonny up too. Badly needed.
