Based on "LincolnSaints" recent posts, his account has clearly been hacked by a Happy Clapper, so I should discount anything purporting to be written by Lincoln, as he must be being held in captivity somewhere, and forced to produce positive comment after positive comment.
Basically, people bang on about what a good coach Ralph is, then we go on an awful run. Then people bang on about how sh*t Ralph is, and then we go on a really good run. Then - guess what - people start banging on about how good Ralph is, only for us to go on another bad run. And so on and so on. Can’t we all just give it a f*cking rest until Xmas at least? It’s become the most tiresome debate of all time.
Yeah I was out last season and my point was valid. I think 5 subs can help us but I still feel he needs to bring back a higher press
I'm of the opinion that the current optimism / decent run is probably in spite of Ralph, not because of him. But it would be ridiculous to call for his head when were going the right direction. Being dicked by Spurs and going 2-0 down to Leeds was probably the best thing to happen for Ralph. Forced him to play a another way, which seems to have worked out nicely.
That the influx of better players and the assistance of the added staff has improved things, not especially Ralph himself.
Or anything but Ralph apparently. Flawless logic. Baffling isn't is. Not a consistent argument at all. There are perfectly reasonable and valid criticisms of Ralph out there. But the one above is absolutely not one of them
I get what he’s saying. It’s hard to tell how much of the change is down to Ralph and how much is down to the new set up and signings. Most fans I know have been screaming to try 4-2-31/4-3-3 and be more positive for ages. So its both a positive and a negative that Ralph has finally seen the light the last couple of games. I think the next few weeks is where we find out what Ralph is truly made of. Decent run of fixtures, a rebuild with a new squad. No one to blame but ralph now if we were to struggle in the next few. Up until now there have been very credible arguments that Ralph was doing the best he could with a depleted/****e squad. But now we have spent money and we find out if he is a good PL manager or not. I hope he smashes it. Up the saints
If he starts Mo El instead of Stuey for the next two matches then I might just have to negate my in vote and go on the fence.
I'd suggest that the international break has come at a good time. You don't want it to come when you're flying, because it could kill momentum. You don't want it to come when you're clinging onto job with your fingernails, because you'll likely get the push. What we've got is a bit of heat on Ralph, but still with some breathing space yet. Everton at home is massive though. If we lose that, it'll quite likely be followed up by a defeat away to City. And if that happens, it won't be impossible that we'll be in the relegation zone after nine games. And that will make life difficult for Ralph. Hopefully therefore this two week break helps us to put aside tonight and come back fighting vs Everton.
The only way he survives is going back to his attacking instincts. Yes we may give a team a torrid time in the first half and then lose in the second half as our players are knackered, but I enjoyed those days, so much better than just playing dull negative football and still losing as we are doing now
I honestly feel like tonight was as bad as I’ve ever seen us. I can’t remember a more passive, useless display since at least Pellegrino. Totally inexplicable management really. Just ignored our good players and played the dross. AMN must be incredibly bad to not start after diallos last few performances
I have a sneaking suspicion there’s a problem there with AMN. But I also suspect he might play him against Everton, and realise that he’s better in the middle of the park than what we have.
3 clean sheets in 34 games now as well. Nearly a whole season of evidence and with now with better defenders that Ralph is a bit of a naff coach. Especially as he’s setting up not to lose.
You do know it's bloody hard to keep a clean sheet in the PL? Besides, defence isn't the issue this season. Not since the Leeds game. Leicester it was a free kick, they didn't score from open play, United scored a good goal, it happens. We're not gifting teams 2 or 3 goal leads anymore.
We’ve got better options in defence and we’re no longer losing 3-0 or 4-0, which is good. But we’re still losing 1-0, does that mean Ralph is doing a good job?
