Must say I am deeply shocked at the lack of respect shown for one the the greatest leaders the free world has ever known.

 

Im not shocked at all.

She was like you say one of the greatest leaders of the free world.

 

This poor sod has just been indoctrinated to think only in loyalist terms and totally lacks the ability to draw judgements of his own.

 

How do you explain the other posters who think she was great then?

 

I never made any comment about them, but I know why Medro takes such attitudes. Because he was reared to. Thatcher was the worst thing that could have happened to N Ireland. The conflict was extended and many more people died (on both sides of the divide) as such because of her stance on the troubles.

But they dont care, they like cutting off their noses to spite their collective face. Doesn't matter that many unionist / nationalist families are missing innocent loved ones, her allowing the hunger strikers to die was worth all the broken families in their eyes

Excuse me but Thatcher wasn't planting the bombs that were murdering people.

Like many great leaders she never bowed down to terrorist scum and she certainly won't be the last to do so.

 

She seemed more than happy to pander to the loyalist scum that infested the northern political scene at that time

Oh and freedom fighters would be a more apt word

Okay, strange. Thought i'd posted this, but obviously not!

So, i asked her for a job once. I had been made redundant and met her at a Conservative party do where i was serving drinks (and had had a few too many myself)..and was trying not to laugh at the politics. Anyway, she asked me if i'd visited the job centre. i asked her if she'd ever been inside one, and she said she'd heard they were very good. The next day in the paper was a picture of her face and the back of my head. The headline read "Maggie comes face to face with the unemployed". She never did offer me a job. Bitch. Anyway, from then she managed to carry on cocking up the country and leaving us in the poop. I won't be crying any tears for her, that's for sure.

 

I've got nothing against New Age Travellers and was oppossed to the treatment given to them at the Battle of Beanfield and the whole Stonehenge Exclusion Zone issue. They were British and I feel entitled to turn up at Stonehenge once a year to hold a festival in thier own country at one of its best known and sacred landmarks.

But why oh why can't we beat, arrest and destroy the homes of the thieving, subhuman scum that until recently occupied Dale Farm? PC gone mad.

 

Oh yeh, who was the last government to wage a campaign against gypsies under the guise they are sub-human? Oh thats right, it was Hitler's. How far to the right are you stopme?

The hunger strikers chose to starve themselves to death so what was she supposed to do? Force feed them?

She simply refused to treat them as political prisoners and was supported in her stance by the government of the day and the vast majority of the voting public.
