I don’t know if Perraud going off affected the chance of Fandab coming on earlier, but the first time he had a run at Young he was dragged back and Young is carded. Should have been given more opportunity to do that.
Wish I had hidden with the lizard now.

 

We have got some good players.. a lot of them were on the bench.. WHY?

 

Have to find a better balance of attack vs defence. Feel like we have the back four now to play a more pressing game again.

 

Saints have awful today against a team as mediocre as Aston Villa. They lacked any kind of intensity in midfield and up front. As a result Aston Villa just out muscled Saints and winning without being any good.

Why are Saints always terrible on Friday nights?

 

Whatever happened to the bold,brash Ralph that swept in with the exciting high press, high energy style of play that made a lot of us fall in love with him? It feels like he is turning into MP2 after this inept display.

 

Yes it was crap, but to call for Ralph's head is ridiculous. He cocked this one up for sure, but bad performances happen. And we haven't had many this season.

 

I think we’ll do better than last season, but not by much. Still early days.

 

KWP had a nice run. Djenepo had a decent run and cross. All in the first 5 or so mins. After that? An entire match of frustration and a carbon copy of last season.
I'm sure we signed a lot of players, and I'm almost positive I've seen us play with some enthusiasm, some excitement, but that? That is why I want Ralph gone.

We might not get a better manager, but at least we can try something different.

 

JWP. Worst game he’s had in like 3 years. Couldn’t pass, couldn’t tackle and had no fight

 

A performance and result that makes the co-commentator's "Southampton coming to Villa Park, you would expect Vila to win" remark sadly justified. They were completely there for the taking, could of had a six point gap between them and us, but we deserved absolutely nothing.

 

The attack is toothless, why play Ely and Armstrong. Aribo is also wasted in midfield.

 

I don’t understand.

Why play all our worst players?

Why leave our best creative players on the bench?

Why sign players if you don’t give them a chance?

Why play players in the wrong positions?

Villa were ****ing ****. Yet somehow we were worse

 

Tom’s not saying they can’t? He’s just saying he thinks it’s the wrong opinion.

 

Oh please were your eyes shut against Chelsea, or Leicester, or even Wolves when we lost? One bad game does not turn Ralph into MP2.

 

Seen more energy and cohesion at Fleming Park 5 a side.
