and 3 windows in with the pick of the squad left and his introductions in those 3 windows... I think at the moment it is par for the course A POINT AT LEAST FROM BURNLEY will show we are a above average team [ ave 1.5pts a game ]

Teemu Pukki and Vincent Kompany add to a Bristol City chorus that Nigel Pearson tries to ignore
Bristol City's rise up the table has been driven by an exciting open and attacking style that is drawing plaudits across the Championship
    https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/teemu-pukki-vincent-kompany-add-7594529

Chris Wilder ~ " Nige has sorted City out".
Dean Smith/ Teemu Pukki ~ " Probably the best team we've played this season" & They will be up there fighting for promotion as well.”
Vincent Company ~ " They have very clear strengths & Attacking is in their DNA

Great comments from very experienced people, I guess Nige has really got us on the move with a very limited budget, let us hope it's not another streaky, we are used to them, good and bad, only time will tell.

I think the introduction of Conway (to young last season) paired with Wells and another year older with Scott is the main difference.

Also playing on the front foot with plenty of pressing and looking for opening goal helps..
which didn’t suit Martin but does with the young legs of Conway..
I’m still not convinced and reserve judgment of NPs tactics when we do have a lead..
The test will come, 1. How we bounce back after a defeat and 2. As the season progresses and we get injuries & card bans, if we have the squad that can keep it going..
which makes even more important to get the defending right..

Strangely Semenyo being injured, which meant Wells & Conway being played upfront with the added pace, and legs, to play front foot, pressing football. Sykes on the right as well helps, allowing Scott to play in the middle, plus Naismith breaking the lines and playing forward balls rather than sideways or backwards allows us to break quickly.

    Similar 'break' for Bobby Reid.

Sometimes managers need that ‘bad luck’ to happen upon a solution that works. Who knew that banishing Wells to the U23s last season to play with the youngsters like Conway would pay such dividends this season, I very much doubt NP did. Sometimes you need that stroke of luck as a manager.

well if you dont ask you dont get! but unlike the tight fisted, if you do ask you do get a response!

A very good mate of mines boss is a massive Norwich fan, so my mate asked him for feedback on City to let me know how we did. See below,He didn’t state which 2 Centre Halves, one would definitely be Naismith. From those that went was Atkinson or Vyner the other?

“Apparently BC the best team to have visited Carrow Road this season. Dangerous goal threat had more possession but your 2 centre Halves are piss poor”

Imagine he meant Vyner, lost his man from a corner for their 3rd goal. Atkinson was good, set up Conways goal, ran through the lines to the edge of their box , fed Wells who crossed for Conway to head home.

Btw I didn’t go, but watched live on RobinsTv

From that game I can understand why he would say that, but wouldn't say Naismith is piss poor, but glaring mistakes cost us the game, hopefully he will learn not to fanny around when he's last man..

Your mate is being honest from what he saw, but to be fair to Naismith and Vyner(??) your mate probably only watched them play in that one game against his team. Naismith in particular had a stinker which your mate picked up on - and he (Naismith) has made those types of mistakes before, but he’s also contributed positively in other games which your mate probably hasn’t seen.
I wouldnt call anyone ‘piss-poor’. They made mistakes yes but piss-poor is being too harsh imho.

No one else plays like Naismith in our squad, if he changes him our shape will have to change as well.

Maybe over the season, but giving away 2 goals against Norwich to my mind definitely outweighs the good from that game.

Everyone commented how well we played, which is largely down to Naismith, which explains the comment that his errors are outweighed by what he brings,
