Get rid of VAR, just go back to calling the ref a ****er and have done with it. At least then the ****er was on the pitch to hear it, now the ****ers are cosily ensconced in a studio, impervious to the general opprobrium felt towards them.
I believe the original rules had no offside and it was a game of constant hoof ball. Edit: FFS a dozen people already said this.
lols, autocorrect. that gaelic football stuff in ireland. i'm sure the french wouldn't play football with garlic in case it'd ruin the flavour or stench
It would make sense given utds poor European performance and out 6 out of 6 group stage wins giving 100mil+ out of CL.
I'd be happy to get rid of VAR. It's a bit of farce and just takes too long to get to a decision. I'd get rid purely because of the way it takes away the spontaneous joy of scoring a goal, both on the pitch and in the crowd. Football is about entertainment as much as anything and VAR is removing the joy. VAR was supposed to remove error, but it hasn't. It's just moved the human error element from the pitch to a room miles away.
Las Vegas consortium hoping to buy Bournemouth. More American owners - Gary Neville will be pleased. He's not bothered about the sports washers, mind, just the Americans.
Saw the Red and black of the Kits and, coupled with a white ball and all the gambling adverts, decided they knew how to make money from it. Wait til they start spinning the players round.
It’s here to stay. Those who think that it may be got rid of are living in cloud cuckoo land. The key factor is to improve the workings of it and get rid of incompetent people like Lee Mason. I cannot see why any competent individual never mind an ex professional referee shouldn’t get it right every time. They see all the angles of an action, have replays. And if they can’t be sure they should either let it pass or get the pitch referee have a look (and say to them that it is 50-50) so that it is not a done deal. It defies belief that both the VAR and the pitch referee got the Newcastle and West Ham decisions wrong. When observers could see the true picture with the naked eye in real time. Classical examples of not seeing the wood for the trees.
WSL starts today..........we play tomorrow v champions Chelsea. Tough start for our women, back in the top division after winning the championship last season.
Especially when they are trialing this semi automatic offsides as well. There is going to be more tech rather than less as years go on.
