Chris Sutton has us down to lose again tomorrow night, has he actually predicted us to win a game? He's starting to make Lawro look as though he had a clue after all.
I expect he reads all not606 posts, identifies the most pessimistic fan groups, and tries to cheer them up, by saying the other teams will lose.
On the basis that if he gets things wrong, it will be last on MoTD, and no-one (else) will watch until the end
TIOON7, your attempt to be first on matchday has clearly worked, but it should be questioned, as you simply stayed up after midnight on Thursday (or you're in a different time zone). I, however, am awake (not necessarily up and about) on matchday. As such, I claim the (completely pointless) honour of being the first poster, on this thread, on Matchday. I'll be asleep before the actual match.
This game is a the start of a big opportunity for us. We have done well to get through what was a very tricky start with 7 points, and we now have the opportunity to get some proper momentum with 2 very winnable games back to back. A win here will have everyone looking at top half but a loss will feel as though it is same old Saints - go and beat Chelsea then screw up against the teams on crap form we should beat
LTL, I'm told that there are several shops, with heavily-tinted windows, that cater for discerning gentlemen who have similar requirements...
Apparently Coutinho has been stepping up and impressing in training and could be in line for a start. His movement and passing, last season, made us look totally inept, so I am guessing that Gerrard will be looking to emulate that performance tonight and possibly the same formation. Hopefully we will be better prepared for it and it is reassuring that ABK and Salisu are doing well together. A shame that Lavia is missing for this one, though.
