Old Patrick MacNee or John Steed was a lucky bloke - Cathy Gale, Tara King or Purdie all gorgeous but Emma Peel now she is close to perfection.
I can well remember the first appearance on Parkinson of Billy Connolly when he told the bike joke. I’d had a few beers that night but it was the joke which made me fall off the sofa laughing, not the alcohol.

So many great interviews , Mohammad Ali, David Niven and his jokes , Peter Cook, all the great Hollywood stars and the night Rod Hull ran riot but stopped short when Billy Connolly said to Emu " I will break your neck and his arm at the same time" a brilliant time for television sadly it would not work anymore due to the pr and agents not allowing g those difficult questions
This was a great series that I had completely forgotten, - was it just 1 series that was probably shown just once.
I think they made a second one (don't quote me) and they were all on Youtube 3 years ago, or so. None of them are there anymore, more's the pity.
I don't much in the way of American programmes particularly comedy, but I will make an exception for this
