Either something good ( Band of Brothers ) or a sign something bad ( sex and the City) was about to start

Old Patrick MacNee or John Steed was a lucky bloke - Cathy Gale, Tara King or Purdie all gorgeous but Emma Peel now she is close to perfection.

I can well remember the first appearance on Parkinson of Billy Connolly when he told the bike joke. I’d had a few beers that night but it was the joke which made me fall off the sofa laughing, not the alcohol.

If this is unfamiliar to you, boy did you miss out! The wonderful title music was courtesy of Alan Price...

A cult classic that was based around 2 minor characters in the earlier ITV production, The Hanged Man. If you ever see the dvd's, buy 'em. Joyous!

So many great interviews , Mohammad Ali, David Niven and his jokes , Peter Cook, all the great Hollywood stars and the night Rod Hull ran riot but stopped short when Billy Connolly said to Emu " I will break your neck and his arm at the same time" a brilliant time for television sadly it would not work anymore due to the pr and agents not allowing g those difficult questions

This was a great series that I had completely forgotten, - was it just 1 series that was probably shown just once.

Unusually the end titles are better than the start

I think they made a second one (don't quote me) and they were all on Youtube 3 years ago, or so. None of them are there anymore, more's the pity.

I don't much in the way of American programmes particularly comedy, but I will make an exception for this
