You are just proving that you have no idea of how to manage people. Also you have completely ignored the possible reasons as to why Son is playing badly. If it is to do with random fluctuations in form then there is literally nothing he can do to make it better. If it is to do with confidence then the coach needs to help him increase confidence. If it is to do with lack of effort then he should be dropped. If it is because he is being double marked then we should put up with that and get the other players to exploit their extra space, not replace him with an inferior player who will only need single marking.
I get the impression from watching Son that he obviously knows he's not on form and is trying too hard to make it happen , if the og against west ham would have come to him he would be off the mark and in a better frame of mind to what he is now
I think ‘work on being better’ as in improving his game, maybe by altering something? He’s trying but he needs to try something different…is the point I think.
Yup hence why he takes on the shot even though a team mate is better placed…seen it plenty throughout this season already
He’s been awful since the start of the season, playing him and hoping he will get back into form is one way of dealing with it. Another way is to drop him or give him a game from the bench. By your logic, Spurs should have persisted with Dele Alli as form is random and can’t be measured no matter how many stinkers they have.
Both your points are entirely inconsistent with what I actually wrote. Either you are out of form or you need to try harder. Alternatively perhaps you will post better after a week off.
Son might benefit from coming on against tired legs. He also might benefit from having a go at Leicester's vulnerable looking defence from the start. If I were in Conte's shoes then I'd be looking to make a number of changes on Saturday. That's not what I expect him to do, though.
So when Son has been on the pitch we've scored 12 goals and conceded 4. In the much shorter time he has been off the pitch we've scored 2 and conceded 3. Perhaps he is more important than it appears....
At the very least we need to rotate in the pivot. Bissouma & Hojbjerg with an eye on giving Skippy some minutes, please
I think it was a mistake to start him against Sporting and also a mistake to sub him off. There was no pace threatening in behind when he was removed and they pushed up. Wouldn't have been such an issue early on, but it worked well against tired legs.
This is an issue that's starting to get brought up more: Conte appears to be working on the basis that, if power can't brute force it's way through opponents, adding even more power will do so Realistically we should be looking at either pace with Spence, or trickery with Bryan as potential ways to unlock teams (which is also why I was suggesting a CM who can play a through ball onto a 5p piece if necessary as a potential signing in the summer)
My point is, and I’ll say this simply. Son is out of form and not deserving of a start at the moment. That’s just my opinion. How long should Spurs persist with him? Maybe next game he has a worldie and is motm and proves me wrong but maybe he doesn’t and continues to be a passenger. This is Conte’s decision that only he can make.

Lloris Tanganga, Lenglet, Davies Spence, Bissouma, Skipp, Bentancur, Perisic Kane, Son No Son shadowing Kane, it should be the other way round with Kane being more deeper or just have them play wide apart from one another. That’s what I’d like but it’s not happening. Doherty or Emerson, Sanchez (or Romero if fit) and Dier will all start.
Bentancur looked utterly finished at the end of the Toon game. I'd rest him and go with Hojbjerg and Bissouma or Skipp-Bissouma if the Dane isn't fit. Drop the 3 in midfield as it isn't working with our current wingbacks and we have no attacking threat on the bench to change things up anyway. Push Perisic further forward as I've had enough of him leaving out left flank exposed but his quality in attack is vital at the moment. Hugo Tanganga Romero Davies Spence Hojbjerg Bissouma Sess Son Kane Perisic
Three in the middle works if we play rope-a-dope, as we did early in Conte's run Three in the middle doesn't work when two of them are sitting far too deep when the third plays as an AM, especially if that third one is Bentancur or Skipp as they're supposed to be transitioning our play from defence to attack
I disagree. Rope-a-dope has only shown itself to work against teams who play a high line (Liverpool, City)/can't defend (Leicester), or when Kulusevski is on the pitch. The past two games have shown us that a knackered midfield and impotent wing backs kills the chances of 352 working, not least of all because it leaves us with zero real pace to hit on the counter. From here until at least January, Conte's primary task is to manage and mitigate the fact that all 4 of our senior WBs are mid to lower table standard at best. He has to find ways to circumvent that. Taking the game to the opposition is just one simple way to achieve this. Pushing Perisic further up or dare I say it giving Gil a chance are two ways to take the game to the opposition without relying on Sess or Royal to magically come good.
Considering the last couple of games have seen us getting pressed in midfield, rope-a-dope absolutely can work against a variety of teams - especially ones who are pressing us, because if we push them back at some point instead of drop deeper then we're taking the initiative, not handing it over without much of a fight
Pushing back isn't the same as rope-a-dope though, it is the opposite. We've invited far too much pressure in recent games and without a reliable out ball on the flanks, a knackered midfield that already lacked creativity and Son the only player with the pace to actually counter attack, the ball was straight back in our half within seconds. It looks exactly like it did under Maureen when we had almost exactly the same problems. The two keys to this are playing teams who push up so high we don't need multiple players with Son's legs to get in behind them, or to play 343 with Kulu the other reliable out ball, circumventing the fact that our other wide players are cack. Pushing back is absolutely what we should do. A medium midfield press (positioned on the centre circle rather than on the D) containing the CMs we have should be more than enough to harass the opposition into giving the ball away and/or winning back possession in a decent area.
