I’d like Scott Parker, doubt he’d come even if offered it, but he’d be the sort of manager who could get talent playing to a decent level IMO.

Don't see it. Underachiever with the backing he's had.

I'd have taken Mowbray although he has his downsides, but that's not gonna happen now.

Here's a sobering thought. If results go against us tonight we could be in 19th place by the close of play.
Shota on the edge!!

Been across the pond these past couple of weeks so only seen highlights of last 3 games.

F’ck ing he’ll where do you start. If not losing our great Queen Elizabeth was not sad enough you return home to this f’kin mess. Just when we thought the gloom and doom of the last regime had finally burnet out and the side where finally starting to give us some hope our brittle defence as predicted by many finally concede 5 so easily at WBA. If the red flags where not flying defensively early doors then they multiplied big time after QPR and even more so last night where City looked clueless to be honest. The Big Turk did his bit and brought in several good players. Just how good they all are is yet to be seen and perhaps that’s our trump card with so many games left but the big question always was, and still is at this stage, could the manager gel them into a squad that was better than last term? Right now the signs are he is struggling. Never been one to panic or give a knee jerk reaction but City seriously need to pull a finger out or we could be in a relegation swap before Hull Fair. No doubt you’ve all argued till the cows come home these past couple of weeks and discussed who is at fault ect but right now collectively we suddenly look bottom six rather than the top half and it’s as if the wheels have fallen off and Terry Dolan has been put in charge again.

NOT good enough Shota.

Six games to see an improvement..or you walk pal.

Rant over.

I can't see us getting rid of Shota yet and I'm not sure we should either. It's a brand new squad, we're riddled with injuries. Regardless of whether he's the right man long term we do need some consistency.

With the number of additions, the early part was always going to be tough but we can't keep playing with a back 5, in pre season we looked ****e and we have done too in most the games we've played it. I don't care if we don't have wingers are such. Longman is alright on one side and you could play Christie on the other if you've got nobody else.

I think Vale will come in though & Pelkas should too, even if they play narrow and float and interchange. But something needs to change quickly

They still look OK in spells going forward. Its getting that solidity back that gives you a platform to compete in games that's lacking at the moment.

We have some fantastically talented players in our squad now but no cohesion as a team. Until that changes, we won't improve.

So, you either limit changes, drill them and take the bumps until they find it,

or...

Perhaps ask why the team on the park which is largely the team who kept the door shut last year, isnt doing it as well as they were.

Our attack has technically sharpened, our defence is not much different, but same or similar personnel have become **** at defending all of a sudden.

What messages have changed in the meantime?

Because the midfield in front of them is terrible and letting teams walk through them. The defence is like sandbags trying to keep out a tsunami.

When we are in a position to limit changes then I'm sure we will, we really haven't had that luxury this season yet.

I think we are badly missing the same kind of protection the back 4/5 had last season. We've gone all out on flair/attacking/fan appeasing/flash signings but seem to have forgotten the more solid low key signings that all squads needs to allow the team to function and build on

But Slater ably deputised for Smallwood in a defensive role in this league. Tufan runs out of steam eventually but goes box to box and isn't scared of a challenge.

Theres no reason why we shouldn't be as solid as last year, no matter who we bring in forward and creative areas.

Somethings not right. Oscar, Tufan, Seri, Woods and Pelkas on top of last year's defensive unit bar Smallwood shouldn't lead to the shambolic collapses were seeing.

No slater didn’t
And I know you want to forget the scrapping honeyman did in there constantly harassing the opposition
You don’t get that from seri slater or Tufan
