Re Emmanuel, I don't know anything myself but I'm sure it's been said on here before that he had suffered a stroke and subsequent tests had found a hole in his heart, which meant it was touch and go whether he'd be able to play again. Since that was said, he's returned to training at the start of pre-season and then seemingly disappeared again. Don't think I've ever seen any suggestion of what changed in the summer. Can't be good though can it.
well it's serious whatever it maybe, but since im no doctor or medically trained i wont theorise anything just hope he's healthy even if it means he can't play professional level sport
I don't want to give away too much about what the nature of the problem is, but I was told "slightly less than Fabrice Muamba, but worse than Ashbee in 2010". I don't know what the scale my friend is working on, but Ashbee's injury made him think about retiring, Muamba obviously did retire. I'd say he's got it about right.
Why the need for all the secrecy. I don’t understand why it’s all such super secret hush hush, unless it’s something really dark like his family have all been murdered by Somalian pirates and he’s failed suicide attempts.
Can’t think of another case where a footballers injury has been kept under wraps whether that’s a heart attack, a cancer diagnosis or a broken toenail. Perhaps it’s a criminal matter and he’s been suspended pending an investigation?
It's not about disclosing his medical history though, it's simply about him and / or the club giving supporters at least some information. It really is bizarre and unusual for their too be so much secrecy.
Becasue health is completely private If the player does not want it publically disclosed it's up to him He's not just got a torn hamstring
I'm not saying it isn't up to him. I'm just saying it's bizarre and unusual for their to be such secrecy. And imo it's not helpful to be saying virtually nothing, and for so long, who ever is making that decision.
Surely the club could say that Josh is dealing with a private illness and there will be an assessment made on his condition in January or something like that?
Or perhaps it's just **** all to do with people like you and the player has requested his quite serious medical condition isn't made public knowledge.....
I can understand him wanting privacy, he's entitled to that, but he's a public figure locally and secrecy just invites speculation. I'm sure a suitable statement could be dreamt up to keep everyone off his case.
Why do us the fans need to know the ins and outs of what's going on? Why the need to know? He plays for our Club and there's obviously a lot going on in his life right now, so I'm sure the people who need to know do and are helping him through it. Just wait until the announcement he's fit to resume and accept it.
