I wouldn't go that far, but I suspect that if we'd had another winger available, he might have been dropped for a game. He certainly pisses NP off, you can hear him shouting at him during home games, he gets frustrated with how often he tries to do too much, as does Rosie, who also frequently bollocks him.
Am I right in thinking that's 3 games in a row he has been subbed? Perhaps he's carrying an injury? Or maybe I'm being too kind to him and he has just developed into a lazy-arsed git.
Probably is a bit selfish and makes the wrong decision now and again but he is only 19 and will be a top player I think
Yes, and each time it's been for Dele and completely changed the game in our favour. I've no doubt that Brady will come good again soon, he just needs a kick up the arse. Rosey and NP will sort him out.
Maybe he needs someone similar on the otherside- i.e. Cam Stewart & when he comes back i'm hopeful things will click into gear.
calling them fools is being unkind to genuine fools. they are not city fans simply wums that blunderside love to air to fuel debate. time for the REAL FANS to ring that station and put down the zero's who blight the airwaves.
could not agree more. having Stewart back on the other wing and in tandum will get Brady going again.
Hopefully as time goes by we can mold Brady into more of a team player with better decision making. At the moment he's a very skillful player who likes to try and "do it all himself" which can become very irritating for the rest of the team and the fans. Sooner or later he'll learn what he needs to do to become a truly good player.
still think brady should be given a go on the left he struggles because every time he has to try and cut inside and its very predictable for the defenders
From what I've seen of him, he also seems to have good chemistry with Dudgeon which is an added bonus to him playing on the left as opposed to the right.
hope so, but from what i remember when stewart wasnt playing up front, he was played down the left wing!..he certainly made his 1st apearances there...so hope that will change when he is back, maybe old fashioned, but dont think you can go wrong with a left footer down the left, and a right down the right, sounds simple, but football is a simple game.
it's alright saying "isn't it going to be wonderful with Stewart on one wing and Brady on the other" but how much cover are they going to provide the fullbacks eh?
Brady's completely two-footed, so the advantage with him when on form is that he can cut in like for the Reading goal, or go around the full back like the Cardiff winner. The full back doesn't know what to expect. He was doing very well on the right until the last few games, there's no need to start moving him around. The only time he has played on the left (apart from pre-season) was the first half V Blackpool where we hardly got out of our own half. We've played with Koren and Brady on the wings, and Koren does a lot less defensively than either of the other two. Brady, until the last few games, actually worked very hard defensively. And from what I remember of Stewart last December he had a very good attitude; ran his arse off, and didn't care then the defenders got physical with him, I remember it vividly because Devitt was on the opposite side doing the complete opposite.
apart from that cross against cardiff, i dont think ive seen him put another ball in with his right foot, tries to get it on his left foot all the time, hence the constant unnecessary stepovers..
Seems to me more like he's trying to get it for a shot, and it's easier to do that from wide right on your left foot. Then you're aiming for the far post, if it's going wide it becomes a cross for someone to nod back across goal, if it's going too tight it's still on target*. With our lack of height and pace in the middle I don't have a problem with it because there aren't many options. *Similar theme, when I played I always used to aim my crosses from in line with the edge of the area to the back post. The keeper always seemed to expect me to look for somewhere between the penalty spot and the 6 yard box at the front of the goal so it'd catch them out, and when it inevitably went wrong due to lack of talent it meant I had a good chance of scoring, and when that happened I always meant it as a shot.
The Barnsley penalty? He went around the right side there and if he wasn't brought down he would have had to cross or shoot with his right. I think his wing play has been very good, and he just needs to get his head back in the game a bit. Hopefully he will be back to his best for Saturday.
