    I would just like to give the collective finger to the sports of cricket and rugby.

    For many years followers of these sports used to tell us how theirs was a more civilised, up market sport, free from the ill discipline and rowdy behaviour of the modern footballer....

    Well well well..... with match fixing in cricket, yobs in rugby aswell as the bloodgate scandal a few years back I think its safe to assume fans of neither sport will be saying much about football for a while.

    Should'nt this be on the cricket and rugby boards to give their members a chance to respond.

    <whistle>

    I tried to post on a few boards but seems you can only do 2 now lol.

    Plus it gives us fans of a real sport the chance to laugh and point at the shattered image of cricket and rugby.

    Im not really a fan of either of those two sports but you have much worse controversies in football than both of them put together.

    Yes but football doesnt think its above these 2 sports in any moral sense. These 2 sports however do, that includes players and fans alike.

    Its refreshing that its them getting the bad rep for once.

    Of course football will soon be headline news again for all the wrong reasons.

    A comedian said (Jason Manford?) that every team (in terms of football teams) hates everyone 30 miles down the road, 'til someone from 60 miles turns up, in which the two cities/teams unite, then another from another county, and so on and so fourth. I guess this proves now, all footy fans on one side for once! <laugh>

    Cricket's great...I'd rather watch our hard working, entertaining national cricket team than our over paid, under achieving and never entertaining national football team <ok> rugby league's alright but unions ****....end of discussion....except I'd like to point out on BEHALF of all fans of all sport that the bigger issue here is UIRs spelling <laugh> thus you get the collective finger for making football fans look like ill educated dunces

    Rugby Union is quality, don't know what you're talking about. Probably the best sport behind football.

    Watching Wales in the RWC was a revelation, much rather watch them than England at any World Cup. <ok>

    I agree they are bent.

    But I am a fan of both the other sports so I reject your two fingers.
