Yeah, but I'd imagine you'd be of the view that the white faces on the Tory front bench do not represent the outlooks and lived experiences of the vast majority of white people in the country as a whole.
It's not really a great statement if the brown and black people that have been promoted to these positions have only got there through opportunities and privileges that are denied to the vast majority of others of their hue and by pretending that racism doesn't even exist in this country.
Poisoned by that rabid anti Monarchist Truss no doubt. She did promise action on her first day. The clan is gathering.
My first and so far only thought is that they’ll cancel the sport this weekend. Time to invest in some tiny flags I think.
Cleverly, Bravemen etc came from humble stock. What opportunities and privileges were you thinking of?
Its very specialised. There are only x amount of ships that can store lng and only x amount of terminals that can liquify natural gas. Likewise there are only so many terminals that can regassify natural gas (spain has a lot). Its why there is such a big disparity between the two gas prices. If you could transport large quantities then you would expect them to meet closer as its a no brainer to sell gas for more money. As you say, why would an american sell gas at a cheaper rate when you can sell it for more. Its the cheapest money ever! Gas is also not easy to store so if companies are still producing gas, they will need to sell it (in this case in america). You are right in that shale gas will help reduce the price, but the shale gas available in the u.s. is probably far more abundant than in the uk. Its a far bigger place. Saying that though, thats not why the american gas price is that low, its all to do with europe being reliant on russian gas because of the gas pipeline network throughout europe. Unlike oil where you chuck it in a barrel and shove it on a ship, you need proper tankers to hold and keep lng in storage and proper equipment to liquify and regas it. Even then, during the pandemic, there was a day where they were people were paying people to have oil as demand for oil was low and producers were producing too much and couldnt store it! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/business-52350082.amp I'm not sure about how production works but presumably theres a big ramp up cost (power stations suffer from this) in that it costs a load of money to begin production and you might as well carry on rather than shutting down operations and turning it back on again.
So the Bank of England downs tools and delays the next rise in interest rates (it’s inevitable) until after the Queen’s funeral, while the strikers on the railways and in the post office go back to work. Weird scenes inside the goldmine.
Why weird? I don't necessarily agree with all the cancelled events etc, but surely it's all borne out of respect? The main problem for all governing bodies in sport and all industry is that they can't afford to get it wrong, considering the blame and cancel society we're currently having to endure.
