Part of me thinks that she wouldn't want people to not enjoy something they love. Be that sport or the arts.

I don't know, it's impossible really. Cancel everything as a mark of respect and people will take to social media and bang on about forced mourning. Don't cancel everything and it's a lack of respect

Aye good luck to Potter I think he's a good bloke with a lot of talent who deserves the step up. It's also refreshing to see a not so glamorous name being recognised as being worthy of sitting at the top table. Poch, Zidane etc, meh.

I agree. When I heard about the Tuchel sacking, I thought Pochettino was nailed on…

There's a lot to like about Poch, but I'm not convinced by him tbh. I think his star is falling, I'm not sure how rapidly but it seems that Potter was their number one choice.

Quite surprised that even on the day of the funeral events can have times altered. I just assumed everything (that could) would have stopped

It's up to each organisation what they do. For me it will be called off. This is a once in a lifetime event for most. However Because of the 24/7 365 world these days, people will want time off but still expect shops etc to be open so people need to work. It's a massive balancing act at an odd time.

Disgraceful decision. Us plebs are out of pocket because the world's most privileged human has died. Abolish them now.

Fwiw I would have wholeheartedly support a period of silence and the national anthem before the games instead.

Can't see how they could consider playing next weekend. Police will be needed in London and Windsor for the funeral and the amount of people that will go there

Looking at it from a purely football perspective, thats good for Rosscos recovery.

There'll be no "Normality" until after the funeral imo. Possibly efl could be played mid week.

No home game in September it is then. It was always going to be postponed to be fair. Part of me says it's right to call it all off part of me says life must go on. I'm no royalist got nothing against them as human beings but feel the country just can't grind to a halt because 1 person has died.
