Not just that, her uncle had a good shot at bringing it all down too. she followed her fathers footsteps really, just being solid as a rock while everything around you is ****ing chaos.
RIP Ma'am. Served the country with such dignity, for longer than most of us will be alive, a truly exceptional woman who will be missed sorely.
For the record, I think it's ****ing archaic and pathetic to remove all sense of fun. This woman did her duty but lived the MOST privileged life across 96 years. Her life should be celebrated, minutes silences across grounds and so on, not squash all ****ing fun so we can sit in silence and be depressed about mortality. ****ing hate the UK. I might leave.
Regardless of her privileged life, she was born into it and had no choice and did an amazing job. I do however agree the idea of "national mourning" is tedious and stupid, and yes a celebration of her life is the way to go. In the same way when I die I want the funeral to be a full on party piss up, not folks sitting around crying.
I didn’t realise you regarded football as fun. The maids in the house have spent the morning watching BBC World News and their one question was: Do you think her teeth are her own as they seem in good nick for a 96 year old?
I will let them know. They have probably never seen a 96 year old, let alone one with some teeth left.
BBC front page quote from some snowflake **** reads “she picked us up when we were down”. Where the **** do they find these people?
