I mean mass farming has absolutely been one of the key elements to climate disaster However without it, we'd not have anywhere close to the technology and level of comfort we have due to food being easy to obtain generally And farming along with the plumbing system, is one of the greatest 'inventions' in human history What we do need to do, is cut down a bit though Similar to motor vehicles Absolutely transformed human civilization But need to massively cut down on internal combustion
Assuming those claims are true, it's absolutely bonkers that oat milk is an order of magnitude more expensive to buy than cows milk, no?
... it isn't! Lidl around £1per litre. Virtually same as Tesco cow milk. Soya milk even less, 55p in Tesco & similar in Lidl.
That's a ridiculous, untrue comment. Potatoes, peas, rice, bananas, oats / porridge, pasta, pulses, beans, tinned tomatoes, soya, etc etc. So easy to eat cheap and healthy.
Sigh. We had those things before vegan was a fashion. I was talking about manufactured vegan items. There are no non-vegan bananas!
Speaking of bull's semen I did some work years ago for an offshoot of the old Milk Marketing Board. The job was to write a stock control system to manage bull semen. The stuff was extracted from the animal, put in containers then stored in various fridges around the country. It would then be transferred into the car boots of the various people who went around inseminating cows. So it all had to be kept track of so they always knew which calf came from where biut also because the stuff has high monetary value. Interesting stuff, at least I thought so...
