As I have said tonight, the Queen's death has hit me harder than I thought and quite rightly next weekend when the funeral is there should be a period of mourning and sport, the arts all suspended.

BUT this weekend and the following weeks sport, the arts etc should go ahead with the appropriate respect shown. In my humble opinion

It's a difficult one isn't it. From a purely fan perspective, Millwall fans will have paid for travel, tickets and accommodation, most probably without refunds so if the roles were reversed and we were going down there I'd want it to ahead if we had 3k going down to London. I think the weekend should go ahead as planned with armbands and a minutes silence but Monday onwards should be postponed imo.

 

Boom. That's a big one to call off btw.

 

I assumed it had been discussed and agreed as part of the "London bridge" plans, but it appears not.

Her majesty loved her horse racing and I just don't think she would be pleased that it stopped for the next 10 days. Then you have things like the GNR and all the money it raises for charity, again no way would she want it cancelled.

'Stiff upper lip' for the weekend and then re-asses for the week ahead imo. But, I do think they will cancel it all unfortunately. I've even asked the question for the bairns u11 footy in the Russell Foster league. Got a feeling that will go the journey as well, first game of their season.
