I was actually watching Truss and what she had to say about the energy prices live, I saw a piece of paper being handed to both leaders and then they just vanished from the front bench. I went on Twitter and sure enough someone from Sky said something big is happening, both leaders have left their seats. Apparently although you think you are watching it live, there is around a 10-20 second delay in broadcasting so Sky removed the footage of them leaving. A few bright sparks said it must be the Queen is dead, they'd not leave for much else About 5 minutes later Sky released the announcement that she was basically hanging on
Queen is dead. Long live the King. I'm not a huge royalist but I actually quite liked Lizzy. Suppose I will ask the question everybody is thinking but isn't saying out loud. How many days do we get off for the funeral and for the coronation?
https://m.independent.ie/world-news...s-setting-out-what-happens-next-41972389.html 2 days for the English
One thing for sure.....jugs won't be as popular with the masses as Lizzie, the tree huggers will love him though
Wasn’t bothered either way with Elizabeth, I think she’s done a poor job bringing up her dysfunctional kids. I absolutely detest Charles, I wish it could have jumped to William. Funeral will be a weekend, one day off for the coronation won’t be until well into next year
Not when there's an international break around the corner. Carry on, it's what she would have wanted.
To be fair, if every player we were linked with during the transfer window scored this week, there would probably be 20 goals or more scored
By my maths the Funeral is next Saturday so they'll call them off and it looks like the PL and EFL are calling off this weekends game. I'm a Republican and I'd rather have the football
EFL have called off the games to be played tomorrow evening. No announcement as yet with regards to games Saturday onwards
All this weekends sport should be called off as a mark of respect in my opinion. It's just how it should be and I know some of you will strongly disagree which is fair enough but it will happen anyway. Apart from the St Ledger at Donny of course where I'll be lifting a glass to the old girl and saluting her service to the nation.
