I'm hearing rumours that football (and potentially other entertainment events) are going to be postponed this weekend and next weekend. Maybe I'm being unsympathetic and cold-hearted, but why are we even considering doing this? Why should we all be expected to stop everything we're doing because a woman, who lived to the age of 96, has passed away (not wholly unexpectedly at that age)? I am anti-monarchy by nature, so that could also be influencing what I'm saying here, but I just don't see the point of stopping everything and dedicating everything to the memory of the Queen when, frankly, most people don't really care about her to that extent anyway, and when life is going to go on regardless.
Will the energy companies stop counting our energy consumption...? If not, they can all **** right off.
I don't even see the argument in favour of it. People aren't going to be mourning as an alternative, they'll just be watching Netflix or something.
Those Caribbean countries have virtually no military anyway. Truss can pull a Thatcher and take them back.
I’m probably more sympathetic towards the Queen (not really the rest of them) than you but I agree, unless there’s a memorial already scheduled (which would cause chaos on public transport with the football on top and also be a drain on police resources) then surely a minute’s silence or something before the game is enough.
All football games should be postponed this weekend, except for ... Citeh vs Spurs. For Liz II was yid army, and hated Pep the false messiah.
He is biblically stupid...and fond of a drop...and a proper nasty ****er... ...so I'm going with it being him, until he can prove beyond any reasonable doubt that his account was hacked.
