It’s still an outdated institution that represents the very worst of excessive wealth and privilege over us, who are referred to as subjects. It also represents the worst form of succession, by blood and family. No accountability to the people they are supposed to represent and no say in who represents us. I happen to think Liz Windsor has done a good job of her role. But the very institution itself is un democratic and belongs in history.

It's a **** ton of work for something that will only further cause debate and division in a country crammed with too much debate and division. It's a lot of effort for someone to say "see, now we are modern" and would have absolutely no meaningful impact on normal people's lives except creating more elections, which people already hate.
