Says the guy from Newcastle board where currently 2 threads about how the whole of football and officials are corrupt against Newcastle and want to do everything in their power in order stop Newcastle from winning football matches with links to a petition to sign
Only you're completely wrong which demonstrates you've never read anything because I haven't once said against newcastle have I ? That was another person
It was more the point that you were moaning that lfc fans were talking about lfc on our own board and you took offence for some reason. if you don’t want to hear lfc fans talking about the club, maybe stay clear of the lfc board.
We won't make the top four this season, and there's no ****ing way on God's green earth we'll get Bellingham next season. This has got all the hallmarks of the 2009/10 season all over it, and that signalled a four-year decline, a blip when we challenged again, then another few seasons until a new manager established us as a power again. But getting back in again this time around will be tortuous: United will get back there eventually by sheer force of money; Arsenal will become perennial contenders for the top four, and Spurs are already so; and Newcastle's money will start kicking in next season, if not this one. Add Chelsea, and that's five teams between us and City - we'll be fighting West Ham for Europy places from next season onwards.
since you spend half your time on here you know i was moaning about the fact our defensive line had been creeping higher and higher and was getting far too easy to penetrate last season .
There’s still time to recover or to stop the slide. We are only 6 points from the top and we need a good run of wins. Draws are equivalent to defeats if you are challenging for the top. It’s clearly getting more difficult with most teams having so much money to spend. And we have spent less on recruitment than many medium size clubs. If we’ve peaked last season just a shame we didn’t win more titles when we had the best team in the land.
It seems to me that something has gone fundamentally wrong at our club. The attitude of the players generally stinks, which is a total change from from previous seasons. Very worrying.
I've thought that. But I recall our performances leading into the Villa humiliation when the likes of Van Dijk were playing too. We overcame that. Then the injury crisis season we hit proper rock bottom, different reasons, but we still got through that.
It's absolutely too late to win the title. It's definitely not too late to salvage a CL spot... But we need to change something. If we keep playing the same players in the same formation with the same tactics, we're not going to win. The bigger names at the club are far too complacent in their spots at the club.
we were never getting belligham anyway mate. i keep saying this Just to be clear however... Arsenal declared losses of 127mil last year, 54 the year before but have spunked cash at the thing theres no assurance that soft bunch will get top 4. its a dog fight between spurs arsneal utd, chelsea and us. cheslea have already taken action as they see it over poor start. 5 into 3 places theres no such thing as perennial in england. every club is likely to take its turn outside top 4 slots. utd have taken thier turn, surs have just got back in, cheslea have taken a trun, arsneal have been also rans for a while. there no hard rule to say a club just can't recover back to top 4 like as it is a leeds issue. but remember it will SOON be 6 for 3 slots as newcastle are quietly throwing100mil + per season at it. Frankly we benefited in 2020 form chelsea being ****e and got 3rd on 69points which was daylight robbery. we were lucky once then come back getting 2nd
Not being silly, but, asthma medications do have a positive correlation with more injuries. It could be a side effect of so many players frequently using inhalers. It could be the more vigorous tempo they play every week. It could be that they play more games each year than most other teams. It could be a more strenuous physical training regime. It could also be we sign injury prone players to begin with. Ox, Keita, Arthur Badger, etc... All known for injuries before joining us. Maybe our formula for signing players only looks at games they're active and ignores past injuries. Also... Has anyone looked at the numbers for say, five years? Do we really have more injuries than others? I remember the year we won we had very few injuries at all.
not sure ours get injured more often than the other clubs playing in europe just we only pay full attention to ours .
So what could have happened? Mane and a bunch of squad players left. We recruited some new players, Diaz excellent but others still settling. We have had a shed load of injuries and a stupid trip to the Gar East that really upset preparations for the start of the season. What has happened with the training programme? Lots of soft tissue injuries and a lethargic looking group of players. Or is it something far more sinister?
Still think part of the problem is that quite a few of our players are burned out from the last few seasons.
