Van Dijk isn't playing well, but their midfield is non-functional and it's screwing the whole team.
Alexander-Arnold isn't the best defender anyway and teams are exploiting it now.
They look very leggy to me. Fatigue and maybe confidence?

In any sensible set up, where he gets to call the shots, he's a great appointment.

At Chelsea, run by Todd Boehly...? **** alone knows.

Surely it is all cancelled or none. No match will be impact free from rail strikes I'd have thought..

In a season already compacted by having the WC in the middle of it, I'm surprised that any games are being postponed due to an ongoing series of strikes.

No doubt, as we speak, the gooners are in discussion with the rail unions about various fixtures.

You’d think so. At this point I just want to know for sure.

He will be amazing if he’s actually allowed to do what he does best. He deserves the step up, so best of luck to him.

But I’ll eat my hat if the situation is different to the fate that any Chelsea manager has faced in the last 15+ years.

Rail strikes affect Brighton particularly badly because of where their stadium is.
They had really poor attendances due to this in the past. 12k-ish, IIRC.

Potter is unproven playing for titles, in the CL etc.
There is a difference between managing a small but relatively successful business of any kind and then trying to repeat it with a large organisation with very different demands.
Buying and selling in a different market, big egos to manage, more staff, more responsibilities and commitments, greater expectations, less tolerance when things aren’t perfect.
Chelsea need to give him time to find his feet and implement his ideas and plans.
    Will they? Will they ‘eck.

On a separate note, the Queen must be hoping Aaron Ramsey doesn’t score

I don't think she's hoping anything any more. Charles? Maybe.

I have some sympathy...but not that much, at all. It'll overspill into clubs seeking tactical postponements, just like the gooners in last season's NLD and various other when there's the slightest snowfall (Liverpool in 2012?)

Play the fixture or lose the points like us in the Eurovision Song Conference last season.

I have some sympathy for the fans, but none for the club.
It's the closest they've got to a derby, so they want it to be a full house and a good atmosphere.
I guess they can reschedule for a European night too, as neither club is in them.

The problem is not with Brighton or Palace...it's the gooners and Liverpool exploiting the situation...again.
