The stat you actually want is % of touches in penalty area leading to goals. I suspect we'd not be top of that list...
This is the reason why we dropped points against Liverpool. We **** our pants for the last 20 minutes and should have took the game to them. I never EVER see the point in trying to see a game out after 60/70 minutes. You should always just play to score and win.

At least Dummett has been somewhat solid at defending over the years, even if it is a low bar. And at least Wood has actually scored 3 goals. Murphy literally overs **** all.
He doesn't, it's just we've only had two windows so far plus the injuries means he has almost no option but to put him on as sub right now, he will be phased out soon enough along with the likes of Dummett, Lascelles, Wood, Fraser etc.
Which is nothing new, been like it for years. It’ll be sorted but I think Eddies going to have to be more flexible in his approach to player signing. All well and good wanting the right character, but if the right characters are utter ****ing dross like Murphy and Wood, how can we progress?
Newcastle have a strategy and it's to build very slowly and carefully. I would suggest Newcastle are two windows away from competing for top 8 and really a year is nothing. If they get just one window wrong it's like driving in the wrong direction for 4 months .
Bloody hell, are you possessed by Victor Meldrew? We were 3 points away from finishing in the top 8 last year, despite having one of our worst ever first halfs to the season! We're clearly competing for at least top 8 already. They have said they will build gradually and carefully, not that they are going to go about things like a sloth stuck in super glue! The fact they've massively changed the team already in such a short space of time clearly shows that as well as the gradual approach, they do want rapid progression.
You're on glue if you think what I said isn't fair... there's going to be ups and downs and the squad is miles off top 8... 2 windows is nothing and there's no guarantee they'll get every window right. Your post contains discrepancies with things I've not brought in to question .
