Nice sentiment Nakhi but I have been saying the same for about 10 years and it has never come to pass - YET!

 

With the World Cup in mind I’d have thought staying with us and playing matches would be more in his interest than a move to a PL club where he’d be less likely to get game time.

 

This is where I struggle to see how we are in such breach of FFP. The wages here don’t look much different to 2 years ago, so not sure how we are so out of whack in our finances?
Probably had a bigger squad previously perhaps with more players in the £10-15k per week range. I have never felt our wages were as out of control as some on here would have everyone believe, and I maintain that now. People have to realise that just maintaining Championship status is more expensive now than ever, and even more expensive again to compete for promotion.

on the edge of the knife blade that is good showing, should the EFL challenge the FFP with a potential points deduction! A defence that they shipped out x players got a couple of fee's is a sign they are endeavouring to right the ship. It would be a bad show if they [EFL] deducted points, but encouragement to give a suspended decision because every effort is and was being made .....
We carry a loss for at least the next 3 seasons .. what is done is done we can make a profit however small to say we are turning the corner. I think unless he signs a contract, HNM will be gone at Christmas [JAN WINDOW ] even if only for £2-4m? PNE wouldnt pay a fee for Nakhi... or a miserly sum! . . HE faces them on Saturday ... !

 

Dan Bentley, Jay Dasilva, Tomas Kalas and Nahki Wells are interesting cases because they are players that Nigel Pearson would like to keep, but who if they are to remain in BS3 beyond next summer need to take some kind of pay reduction or a longer-term contract, as their salaries agreed in the 2019/20 simply aren’t workable in the current financial climate.

chicken and egg application .... these players must be worthy of a 2 year plus 1 contract at around same terms now? thinking is to replace them is going to mean paying a wage to an equal [ albeit maybe less ] Bentley or Jay run contracts down so BCFC SAVE potential wage of £2m over next 2 years but no fee for selling as run down contracts! do we have replacements? who play for less than their wage over a 2 +1 contract??? what if we bought in [ we could be flying high as LJ was for a couple years and need to keep quality with experience rolling !] so splash out £6m on 2 players? thats a loss!!!!

NP is against running contracts down? well need to make sure they dont if they are worth it to help suceed!

 

Nah, Nige won't want them - they are the remnants of the dire 'dross' that NP inherited - hangers on from the previous regime............
