Spent hundreds of millions putting a team together for him, to sack him two games later after winning one of them Roman vibes
Graham Potter to Chelsea has similar vibes to David Moyes to Man Utd or Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool. Moyes and Rodgers were both very highly-rated when they were at Everton and Swansea, respectively. I think Potter would be better off staying at Brighton.
I agree, it is probably too early for him to take on a club like Chelsea IMO, he seems a level-headed kind of guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if he turned it down. Though, big money talks, and like Tuchel, if sacked, he would be in for a big payoff. Tuchel reported to be getting £13m
It really is crazy money, no wonder they are not fazed by getting the sack. They are certainly financially secure, not ever worrying about whether they work again or not.
In amongst the comments section somewhere was this little snigger raiser.... The statement put out is just some generic guff applicable to any club, well, that is, except arsenal, who haven't won those cups.
How times change A lot has happened since Thomas Tuchel joined Chelsea on 26 January, 2021. Due to Covid-19 protocols, Tuchel wore a mask as he signed on, He went on to win the Champions League four months later, but now Chelsea are looking for a replacement boss. ............ I suspect he won't need to sign on again though.
