Nice fella, but he's a bit too ****e as a player for this league. Blasted in 13 goals in 29 apps in the CC, but his EPL record is piss poor. He's about a 1 in 4 striker at the top level. Some players can do well in the CC/SPL and go on to cut it in the EPL, some can't.

Honestly, if we want to improve as a team we can't be bringing out players like Lovenkrands. He isn't a starter, he isn't a gamechanger, he's nout. Not many teams in the top 10 bring on subs of a lower calibre like that, so I don't know why we do it.

Great guy, but you'd wish the SPL on him? Poor Pete.

Yeah, he did a top job for us in the CC - and last year he was good back-up to have and played his part. But our team has evolved since then and he righlty realises that his opportunities will be limited and he still wants to be playing. Would Hughton take him to Brum? I'm sure his wages are pretty low.

Lovenkrands always looks like he has a goal in him, but really he is nothing other than back up. Really we should have back up of a higher quality if we want to be succesfull in the top half of the prem. Would still do a decent job at swansea or wigan as back up, or in the championship. Always liked him he has a great attitude and always works hard. On his day he can be quite deadly but he's lost a lot of his pace recently and that's shown in his performances this uyear

I love Lovenkrands, such a model professional, but let's be realistic, he isn't getting in our team or getting any younger, so it makes sense for him. He'll always be one of my favourite players, but it's time for him to move on and good luck to the guy.

Might just be saying that to the papers to make clubs think he's still worth having...

Always liked the guy. hate the fact that we didnt immediately keep after we got relegated, but glad we got him back in the end.

It probably is the right move for the club and player though. He's getting on now, so its gonna be harder to find himself a new club if he signed another contract here.

He could definelty still be a good striker at Championship or SPL level, but i know he's always wanted to go back to Copengahen hasnt he? Hope it comes off for him.

Decent player and still useful, but time to bring younger ones through and buy another striker in January. Wouldnt want another Smith.

I wouldn't say that, a couple of injuries and we'll need him.

Sad to see him go, always gave 100% and some great memories, but it's better that he go now on good terms than outstay his welcome. One player I will always applaud if he returns to St James.

Decent guy, but he's not good enough, think we'll sign a new striker, plus it will probably be on a bosman when he leaves which will be next summer.

Stoke will probably give us £8-10 million.
