Potter apparently the favourite to replace him, which would be gut-wrenching for me.

Be a risk for Potter, very different managing expensive teams, over one he has built himself.

True but realistically if he wants a step up he isn't staying at Brighton.

Potter would likely do some serious damage with that team. Good number of players that I think would fit his style/ he could help elevate. Here’s hoping Chelsea are stupid and go for Ole or something…

    1. Changed owners, but not the knee-jerk booting of managers. < stay classy >

    2. Conte broke Tuchel. < called it >

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely delighted to see Chelsea self-imolating, but part of me just says 'WTF'!
21 months, a CL trophy and Euro Super Cup etc in the cabinet....<doh>
There must be more to this sacking, surely? He has clearly been under pressure - that's obvious from the Conte incident and his sniping at his players. A man on the edge, methinks?

Don’t do it, Graham. Wait for Southgate to be sacked!
Hopefully they’ll go after Rodgers. He’s got great character.

I'm sure his payoff will ease him away from the edge

I wonder if it’s a power move by Boehly? I saw some rumours that him and Tuchel didn’t get along behind the scenes, and there were disagreements about how the club should be ran. They didn’t have an aligned vision.

If that’s true, then it’s no major surprise that he’s been sacked.

After everything we’ve witnessed over the last 15-20 years with Chelsea, why would Graham Potter even so much as consider this, if he’s approached? He’s got such a good reputation in the game already. Even if he he’s having thoughts about moving on from Brighton in the not too distant future, he’ll have so many options and suitors.
Of all of those potential choices, why, as a young, progressive coach would you join the list of Chelsea managers, who ultimately end up being hired and fired?
Other clubs will pay very good money too!

And as for Pochettino? Someone better tell him he’ll have to stop wearing his Nike-Spurs T-shirts, whilst reminding him of a little story called “The battle of the Bridge”.

Agreed. And it's not impossible that his next step may be outside the UK. With his European experience I bet he's on the radar across the continent.
