Like football managers you have to give them time and give them support.... [ prior to 6 games ago NP was getting my support but it was on the wane ] this week will we see solid start... Wed is PMQ's no honey moon for Liz .. opposition has already lambasted her and she hasnt done anything yet!!!! ...............

Another new start and another new PM.

Hopefully this is one with more integrity, and is concerned with being a proper conservative than the last liberal and untrustworthy one who will address the concerns of the country, not be led by their spouse in matters of national importance.

there was an interesting article about Boris being his own worst enemy ... he would know the situation made the right choice but bowed to pressure to maybe rethink/ change it / be moved to agree with the advisor [ think it was book writer/ auto/biography ... ]

I'm glad Braveman got a decent position. Let's hope she can be more effective in stopping the invasion of tens of thousands of illegals crossing the English Channel every year than Priti Patel was.

Simple solution, and best deterrent in the interests of national security is to tow each and every one of these boats back to France as soon as they cross into UK waters and ignore all of the worldwide angst and condemnation it will cause including of course, from the French who have done a simply bad job in preventing it despite the tens of millions we've given them. We shouldn't be bothered by any of it.

We're supposed to be an independent nation with a Government whose job it is to secure our borders not have the same carnage that's going on in America with stupid liberal politics.

Good luck Liz, you're going to need it, but I'd rather have her as PM than Sunak any day of the week.

If the answer is Jacob Rees Mogg, goodness knows what the question is, the man is a dick.

I liked the note he left for members of the Civil Service in their almost empty offices, saying something like 'I look forward to seeing you back at work very soon' which they all ignored and they have continued to work from home, whilst no doubt keeping their huge pensions and London allowances.

But on the negative side, the central Civil Service seem as woke as they can be, and recently a lot of them ignored requests not to attend yet more training on Diversity & Inclusion at a cost of £500 per person per day, and so getting rid of 90,000 of them, having a smaller Government, or maybe even getting people who want to work rather than skive, and saving us, the taxpayers, some money when the current crop just seem to do as they please whenever challenged, sounds like a good idea to me.

I already disliked him, but I REALLY detested how he used his cabinet insider knowledge to pull out his hospitality investments and put it into PPE and Vaccine manufacturers.

P M Q's ... first one..... everyone has an opinion on our latest PM, 3rd female and brought in halfway through a term! [ for against dont care! ]

From being a Rishi "supporter" in the first weeks I rapidly went off him ... had a bullying attitude, shouted down other peoples comments / answers when trying to deliver them, besides attempts to belittle their status etc
In a 2 horse race you back the one that has least "faults!"... The answer was Liz Truss! Not by choice really but by default!
PMQ's, you have to start on 5/10 and see where it goes, I half expected the end result would be 2 or 3 / 10. WELL leaving room for future improvement I would say 7.5 / 10.
OPPOSITION approach no different really than past few years, and a few taints of ridicule and sour grapes thrown in. IMPATIENCE or nothing new to add OR simply a failure to comprehend "I will be giving DETAILS OF THE PLANS ON THURSDAY" The SNP woman was severely chastised for her venomous attack on the previous .gov / leader and had to apologise and withdraw her comment. Blackford handful of new sheets of A4 wasted his 2 Q'S and sat down rather sheepishly ... when he gets slapped down maybe he resents it being a woman! lol
Welsh MP also had NOTHING REALLY TO SAY other than the people of Pontypool want a GE ... NOW!!! slapped down.....
I really love the tail end of the oppositions 6 Q's .... sir KS ought to be careful when musicians are about, else one might take his face as a fiddle and start to play it ...

are we in a good place or a bad place, well tomorrow will help with " the plan" ... an insight to what may lay ahead. We can have no qualms about how tough the next 12 months will be as both main opposition leaders were exposed as being hypocritical of their ideas [ pushed one idea which was the opposite of another one! ]

IMO some of the cabinet looks weak, some are pretty in the groove, but performance with experience is what will count...

uuuuuuuuuuuum wonder if he is the only one... lol when you invest you have to be sharp sometimes ... he was not the only one by a few thousand. When you get a bit of "knowledge / or see an opportunity" you have to take it I did doubled my money in 2 companies within 6 month's .. and I am not in parliament!

She did well in PMQ's. Usual tax and spend ideology from Starmer and co and no new ideas, unlike LT.
