Lol! That I would like to see, after his debarcle at Bolton, he clearly can only manager in the mickey mouse Scottish league, a nice ticket back to the Championship for Leicester there.

 

I thought initially their lack of spending was due to FFP but its not. They had plenty of leeway to make purchases but chose not to. It must be something to do with the owners tightening the purse strings. They run Thailand duty free outlets so suspect they have been hit by lack of travellers. Trouble is their outlay on salaries is a very big part of their turnover and its not something you can easily reduce without letting your best players go.

 

They are one of the 19 clubs that UEFA are officially monitoring for potential issues with FFP. Not in breach now, but could be if they don't balance the books under the 'break even' rule in the next 12-18 months. Probaly why they held out for silly money for Fofana and why they quoted us high values for Maddison and Barnes. And why they didn't spend big.

 

They won’t be getting into Europe any time soon so its probably not an issue.
