    Newcastle fan in peace.

The reports into not only the JT/Anton Ferdinand affair, but also the subsquent chanting by some idiots, at last night's match in Genk, are being reported in such publications as the Jakarta Globe and the Vietnamese Investment Review!!

Given that the big Premiership clubs have identified the Far East as their future "cash cow", how much are these idiots potentially costing your club? I'm sure Messrs Abramovich and Buck aren't too chuffed about it!

Supporting your Captain is one thing. Dragging your club's name publicly through the mire is something completely different. You, the reasonable majority are the only ones that can do anything about it, by confronting the idiots, head on, and if neccessary, complaining to the match stewards, at Stamford Bridge.

All the best, from a sunny (for once) North East.

I agree what your saying to a point but this has been going on forever and very difficult to control.

United fans sing about Liverpool disasters and visa versa, there was lots of nasty abuse and singing at the recent Arsenal/Spurs fixture, spurs get a lot of anti jewish songs sung, they themselves have been guilty of homophobic chanting towards Sol Campbell.

These are just a few recent examples.

I don't condone what the few Chelsea fans were singing last night but there is considerably worse that goes on pretty much weekly.

Seems to be a little bit of positive discrimination going on. I don't hear this uproar when we sing 'Gerrald you're a ****' which is surely more offensive.

    The fans were also singing:

    Anton, Anton, you're a c***, you're a c***

Fair enough, therefore equally as offensive. The fact he is (apparently) black shouldn't come into it.

If the Chelsea fans were singing You what you are... they meant he knows he is a c***...

I doubt the majority meant; you know you're a black c****

My dear departed Dad always told me that two wrongs don't make a right.

As regards it being difficult to deal with, it's been said that all it requires for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing! This is where both the clubs and the fans have a huge part to play, in rooting out these idiots. As a fan, you should report such chanting to the match stewards, and as for the club, they should give firm instructions to the stewards, that anyone doing so is to be summarily ejected, from the ground, and his/her season ticket confiscated.

Agreed but that doesn't suit the agenda of the media and rival fans. Pretty much a non story in my eyes when you consider what gets sung in grounds every week. However this just adds to the whole Terry saga and will sell a few more red top rags to the sheep.

And puts more pressure on our club Terry, the FA and AVB.

They'd love to see us crack.

Our boys have been under pressure before, and we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.

But it could cost us points like the Bridge saga 2010

Could be worse, we could have employed Joey Barton knowing full well the scumbag that he is and having a brother doing life for a brutal racial murder.

What has his brother got to do with anything?

They were both brought up together and in the same place. Only thing is that one was good at football so had a much more productive way to spend his time. Barton himself has been accused of making racial remarks to black players before and what his brother done, has done no favours to Barton in fuelling the belief that he is himself a racist and much worse than just that.

Terry was brought up by a drug dealer and a thief, does that mean he's the same because they brought him up? If Barton has been accused of racism before then he's in the same boat as Terry was a month ago, the only difference is that this time there is potentially evidence to back up the accusation.

Chelsea fans' attempts to draw comparisons on this thread are frankly as embarrassing as the fans trying to vilify Anton despite him behaving with the utmost maturity throughout the Terry saga. A bit of humility without trying to point fingers elsewhere would do you good.

Like Terry, maybe we should await the outcome before accepting Anton has acted like the angel.

As for drawing comparisons, entirely natural reaction regardless of the situation or the facts. You'd do the same. Fact is, I question why rivals and the press are so quick to make a big story out of last night's chanting but pretty much ignore other much worse incidents that have gone on this season and before.

We are supporting our captain untill proven guilty, I'm sure you did the same when Ledley King bottled a bouncer then called him a paki <ok>.

Nonsense, it's your fans both on here and last night that were vilifying him. Anton has acted with maturity, he waited a week before giving a statement inwhich he said very little in order for the case to remain unbiased and he has helped the FA and police with their investigations.

Also, I never attempt to justify Tottenham fans who sing "that" Sol Campbell chant or even draw comparisons to others, what is unacceptable is unacceptable regardless of what other fans are perceived to have gotten away with.

Oooh now I definitely need a link to this story <laugh>

Calling Anton a **** is not supporting your captain. He has yet to speak about any details of the incident publicly so as of yet you don't know who made the complaint or indeed whether Anton has accused Terry of anything.

Its called banter mate, all teams try to get a laugh out of any player (yours too) but what makes it funny he could never be a bigger **** than his brother.

    How was that?

BTW do you still chant that Adebayor song?
