No and it makes it even worse, as if they had to come out and admit it was a mistake.

No ****ing **** you set of ****s

Haha I think we know they got it wrong.. They're insulting us now by trying to tell me it was a mistake.

I think on this specific occasion these corrupt dickheads need to explain the thinking. We need a direct quote explaining how Lee Mason missed the push on Willock, or how anyone thought Bowen fouled Mendy. Needs to be right out in the open, subjected to the appropriate inspection and ridicule, then and only then can we apply a solution.

    Agree but that won't happen.

They will say Mason has been dropped from VAR duties for a week or something and that will be that.

An explanation is a lie that will change nothing. We've seen it we know the truth.

Notable that it isn't the individuals who have apologised but the organisation. I think the PL have told them to get their **** together and we will see them go into arse covering mode. I just hope they focus on the VAR officials more than the inexperienced refs, who are no doubt in an easy position to throw under the bus.

It's organised crime.. You fix nothing piss farting around with the end lines. You have to go all the way upstream.

The only exception is if you just need to be seen to be doing something.

VAR is operated by referees and I thought you are asking if I had ever seen referees apologise for mistakes. I didn't realise you wanted examples of apologies being made for VAR mistakes specifically, so here you go. Again, the first three I came across. I apologise for not getting the right apologies <ok>

He was offside though. It was unfortunate that it was ruled out as it would have stood without VAR and would have been one of the goals of the season. I don't think there was anything wrong with the decision. If you use VAR you are going to have to accept decisions like that. You can't use technology like this and then say, it shouldn't be used when he is only marginally offside.

I would be quite happy to see VAR binned off. Football is about entertainment and I don't think its adding anything to the entertainment value. This weekend has proved that VAR can still get it wrong so what's the point. We wouldn't have made this much fuss about the Newcastle goal if it had been ruled out by the referee or linesman so VAR has actually made the problem worse.

Now can you find some examples of apologies to big 6 teams for mistakes made in lower teams favour.

And do it a bit quicker than you normally do please.

Trouble is I am not sure whether it is their gut instinct. I think the tendency now is to give the goal and then let VAR have a look at it.

    Yes

As I haven't finished updating the 2016-17 Prediction Game of Destiny and Doom Yet, that means as long as I come up with my example less than 5 years and 4 months after I complete that then I will have met the timing criteria. By then we should be a top 6 team.

    So here you go....

Just in case you think that is a bit Trevesque and cheating, have these ones as a starter in a Man City v Bournemouth game and an Arsenal v Crystal Palace game...

There is really only one there as I don't think I can put much faith in a journalistic piece that starts off with the following sentence, however amusing it may be:
'Slap-headed, chinless twatbasket Mike Riley, head of Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL)'

Tbf, I think everyone’s motto in life should be what ever Jamie Ohara thinks, the opposite is probably true.
