Completely agree with both of these points. That's a different argument though as it is about the guidance being wrong rather than VAR being wrong, and affects all teams negatively when we should be favouring attacking play.
I actually don't mind the offside rule because they have to draw it somewhere.. This idea of a margin of error will only result in the same issues. People will still say its harsh, close or he has big feet
no. The one you’ve shown is the same but you’ve not taken into account the angle of the camera which isn’t side on. Therefore it gives a false representation. It’s all physics.
Look unfortunately I'm not everyone's cup of tea. We are where we are with this. Let's enjoy it if we possibly can.
they do. They’ve changed the rules so if the lines overlap then it’s too close to call and is given as onside. They changed it last year
Im here all season, and have been for number of seasons? Usually this board is a good place to come and have a chat and discussion, unfortunately recently it’s being taken over by people crying about conspiracy’s and becoming a bit boring. Open and honest discussion, all good. Claiming everything is a conspiracy is how you get people to not take you seriously whatsoever.
It's insane. If you have to look that closely then the forward is not getting an advantage. It needs to go the daylight rule, being that far ahead would make a tangible difference.
Let's not forget your keeper wiping out Fraser last season and the ref deciding the fact he was 10 yards away from the ball that it wasn't a penalty by the way
That's one of my concerns. There are issues that need dealing with without doubt, but going full on victim takes away from the importance of what we have to say.
I said over on our board need a complete rewrite of offside. It’s totally lost sight of what was brought in for, which was essentially goal hanging and getting clear advantage. Level used to be level but no such thing now. Can anyone honestly tell me these ‘offsides’ where a players shoulder is slightly ahead of defenders foot is really gaining an advantage? Even more so when they’re slightly offside but step back onside to receive the ball. How is that much of an advantage? Id be happy to go with, any part of the body is in line, then your onside. Only way can gain an advantage is if you’re 100% beyond them. In my view, if a defender has caught someone ‘offside’ because half of their body is beyond, that’s more luck than skill and shouldn’t be rewarded.
Just to be clear nobody has said its a conspiracy against newcastle, but seeing as we're going to continue. If you two really think there's no corruption at play when there's such vast sums at stake then that's your problem not mine. You both saw those incidents and so did the people in var... Mistakes by stupider people than you or a bigger issue that you can't comprehend. The fact you're both sat there thinking other people require your credence after making such claims is hilarious
Sorry it was another incident lol. Away at pool fouled by your Arnold. Was a pen and a red.. Didn't get that. Man City was the week before or after
As a former defender sod off Seriously though VAR should be used for obvious **** ups, Terry Henry's hand ball, dives in the box, huge offsides, off the ball incidents etc etc. It shouldn't be there to micro manage the on field officials with computer software measuring Nano metre offsides. Life was simpler when they had one camera on the roof of the stand for MOTD and nee sky sports analysing the bollocks off every frigging incident.
