But Gnonto hasn’t done anything to be worth a consideration? Why do you say Perkins and Jospeh are not ready but without seeing him you say Gnonto is, based on what, I’m just curious?

He’s not been a regular this season for the bottom team of the Swiss League, it just shouts desperation mate. Gnonto won’t be ready for a long time, he was a panic buy to justify James going and deflect from the mess of the last day shenanigans

Rich you seem to love a barney Im just saying I would pick an international striker for one the worlds best teams over someone who has only played international schoolboy football.

Joffy will be fine once he reaches full match fitness and sharpness.

Or in other words he just needs to avoid any injuries or niggles, train hard and then he'll start banging in the goals.

Barney? No I just find it strange that you’d throw Gnonto straight in when he’s nowhere near being ready. I was simply asking a question based on what. I think you just take it a little personal when you’re questioned on certain things

Officially, that only applies if the player plays in a different country than the club that are trying to sign him. In theory even if the date was the 23 June and the player only had a week left on his contract, we would still need to make a formal approach to Blackburn.

Thus 1st January Brereton-Diaz could give a press conference and announce that he has agreed to join Dukla Prague in July, but he wouldn't be able to make the same announcement if he had secretly agreed to join Man City.

Of course we all know these types of deals are agreed between English clubs, but if say we had a "secret" deal to sign him in July, and then on the 31st January, he announced that he was going to join Real Madrid, we would have no legal come back

They are giving it a good go to stay in the game, but have now gone behind 3-2. Aha Var has reared its head again

I had Leicester finishing one place above us in 13th. My random dice program though had Leicester finishing bottom of the league.

Make from that what you will :emoticon-0140-rofl:

VAR just showed what a ****ing disgrace it is.

An offside Brighton players attempts to play the ball and misses with his attempted over head kick, ball is head to the edge of the box by a Leicester player and then a great stike results in a goal but offside is given after a very lengthy review.

So how is that different to the Brentford players attempt to head the ball where Koch flicks it on ?????

    Onside in our game.
    Offside in the Brighton game.

Neither attacking player touched the ball.

Well Toney was in front of Koch when he attempted to head and miss the ball so he wasn't offside. The guy who scored was also onside when Mee pumped the ball forward. The guy who scored, could only have been offside, if Toney actually touched it. No one was in an offside position when Mee made his pass, which is why the goal was allowed to stand. Even if Toney had not been in front of Koch, Koch would still have needed to attempt to play the ball, because he couldn't just let it sail over his head straight to the Brentford scorer.

Not watching the Leicester game, so obviously can't comment about that situation, but the decision for the 4th goal that we conceded yesterday was the correct one

Unless Toney glanced it before it hit Koch.

That's why I was so surprised about how long it took for VAR to confirm that the goal would stand, VAR only needed to see if Toney had touched the ball or not, and I felt it was fairly obvious from the first replay that he hadn't. Obviously the VAR official then had to view it for another minute, just to ensure that the ball hadn't just brushed against one hair of Toney's head, because if it had and he missed it, he knew what the outrage would be like on our forum ;)

    You mean the Leicester model that has seen Leicester finish 14th, 1st, 12th, 9th, 9th, 5th, 5th, 8th.

Given that I might not alive by the time it all goes wrong in season number 9, then I'd be happy for us to follow the "Leicester model" ;)

Then we are in the realm of whether it was clear and obvious.

The on pitch decision was offside. Did the replays show it was clear and obvious that Toney didn't touch it? I'm not sure it was.

Anyway, I actually agree with your point. It was just one of those days where things kind of went against us.

    Watching Scum.

Arsenal just had a goal disallowed by VAR for a very similar foul to Summerville penalty claim yesterday.

    There's no consistency.
