Aye. It'll be the latest date possible. I've discounted the possibility that Truss will get into the lead and create enough of a gap to make a snap election an option. This is like 97, but without a Blair to take over.
Wondering what you think of Starmer. To me he will run a tight ship, business like, straight bat etc so I can see him being attractive after the circus of this round of Tory but for me the world needs bigger changes than a safe bet like him will make (whether our numpties would vote for it is another matter) which is why i land much more with the Greens. Wondering what the Labour haters think of him. He’s definitely flirting with the establishment and he was in the Telegraph today. To me it feels like he’s playing to win without moral fibre but moral fibre will win nowt. Whereas I’m on the mf plan diet.
Reminds me of that very poignant song with the line, 'But where are the clowns, quick send in the clowns Don? t bother they're here
Anybody who votes for someone who thinks wealth redistribution is wrong is a ****er https://www.instagram.com/reel/CiFVglLoaIY/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= is that better ?
Sorry but you missed two more parties off your list, Scottish National party and Labour. Between that lot club together l doubt you could possible make a decent front bench. The caliber of politicians right now is appalling and quite frankly not good enough to be called Honerable.
Aye and I should have the right to judge who I think is a ****er. Funnily enough I have to look at ignored posts to see what you’re saying.
Are you wealthy or doing very well for yourself? If not don’t you find it strange that people vote for a party who openly re distribute wealth to those who have most of it? I’m not sure that’s even moral. And the argument is to strengthen the economy … strengthen for who exactly?
Of course you have the right to decide who you think is a ****er. Individually, not collectively. Judging people collectively would make you a ****er. You are the opposite of Farage/Trump/extreme right wing, in your views but equally as dangerous for your intolerance.
Not really. It’s a good thing to judge people on their values. That’s entirely different from judging people on their race or nationality. If someone’s values are such that they elect a party who cause harm to people in poverty then I have every right to judge that they are a ****er.
How can you possibly know people's values just by the way that they vote? There seems to be a sizeable proportion of voters in all parties that vote the way they do out of loyalty to family members, the same family members they've been told will be spinning in their graves if they don't continue to vote for their party. I hardly see that as somebody being a ****er, whichever way that they vote. I suppose, I'm prepared to judge everybody on an individual basis, though.
As if people don’t know what they’re voting for. They’re all over the news with Rwanda, hating the French etc, benefit scroungers etc Don’t talk ****e. Of course you can tell. They align themselves with those values like people on here hate liberals.
Like DH4 said the Tories have been in power 30 of the last 40 years, doesn’t say a lot for you Labour luvvies when they can’t get elected over this s hit.
Not in the slightest. Just most days I get called a died in the wool Labour supporter. I’m a massive anti Conservative if you hadn’t noticed. I think that their ‘give money to the rich and they’ll make the world better’ philosophy is anti human and pro destruction. I despise it. I guess you’ve noticed. I generally follow the Green Party at this point and agree with their policies more than anyone else’s. I’ve voted for them, Lib Dems and Labour at different points. In general elections where I live I’ve voted Labour to try and oust a pretty vile Conservative as they go close most times. In locals I vote Green. I think people who vote Conservative need an empathy transplant and in the case of people who aren’t wealthy a logic transplant. It’s strikes me that we lurch around the world wondering how to improve things and the answer is everything the Conservative Party philosophy isn’t about. I’m also not a believer that the state should run all things like old Labour but I do believe big business need a bloody nose and some essential things shouldn’t be profitable. Like water ffs. Look forward to being called Labour again tomorrow by the Tory sympathisers despite this long explanatory post.
