The only negative for me was the way Perraud was exploited. A better crosser from their right could have led to them scoring more. Can’t believe Che allowed the ball to land on his arm for the tap in and he maybe could have done a little better with the header against the bar. Stuart did enough to show that he should be starting ahead of Moi, unless Ralph sees him more as an impact sub. Horrible team to play against.
I agree on Stu/AMN, and if Larios isn't ready, I'd start Djenepo at LB as well. Either Perraud isn't remotely fit, or someone encased his feet in concrete. I'd also consider either starting Mara (with a change of shape) or Edozie on the left. AA played fairly well against Chelsea, but he's been anonymous more often than not, which has meant that most of our attacking has come down the right side. Edozie entered with a big bushel of Ideas that we haven't had on the left for some time.
Yeah, that was pretty indefensible. Mara was out on the left to provide support for Edozie, so his absence is understandable, but there should have been three or four other Saints players gambling on it.
Saints players probably not used to somebody so direct there. Usually have a minute or 2 to get in the box whilst Djenepo does 20 step overs
That's definitely one of the side benefits of having players who can create something from nothing: other attackers have to remain switched on at all times. You see it a bit when KWP has the ball, where players start making anticipatory runs even when he looks to be penned in, because he's generally the only player in the squad who can wriggle free and create chances from those spots.
Edozie sounds good when he came on (listening though Saints app) but the way he was running and not passing it did make me think of Fabrice Fernandes
He was attempting to pass it. Scuffed one cross slightly, and later skinned two players and played a really nice ball into the box...unfortunately, there wasn't a single Saints player in the box.
I don’t have Saintsplayer, but have a different IPTV provider and have noticed the same issues at 3pm on a Saturday. On mine there is a “Live PL” section and this seems to never work at 3pm on Saturday, but if go to the SuperSport (basically South African Sky Sports) channels they always show the 3pm games and they work me flawlessly
Stopped at services for a bite to eat. Edozie is going to be great for us. Definitely deserved at least a point. I love how dominant and decisive Baz is with balls into the box. Armstrong was great when he came on. Just annoying we couldn't score. Wolves are a very good side so no shame in losing to them. Their time wasting was irritating though.
Just saw a comment from their admin. They had 6 complaints about buffering, turns out all complainants are served by the same supplier, so they did a “super quick reboot” of their connection to that source and cleared the problem in seconds. Good response.
