Fat Lady Sings is the biggest WUM I remember from the old 606. At times he was really funny....but mostly just annoying, repetitive and a pain in everyone's backside. But there is always one....or two or three or four. As the Mods article said yesterday....and as my Mum taught me, just don't rise to the bait. They soon get bored and move on.

ah the memories, the memories, TFLS and AntiMoaner, two of the most annoying, but strangely irresistable posters from the old BBC 606 days. I wonder what happened to them both. TFLS drunk too much champagne, and Anti left to father children with Lowe I expect!

Your mum sounds very wise! <ok>

Trouble is you don't notice at first, you know it's a wum but first time you respond, and then can get caught up in it.

Just looking at his record in 5 years at Donny. W97 D72 L99. No disrespect to Doncaster, but that is jolly good I feel, at a club that has probably played against tough opposition, a fair bit during the course of those 5 years, I daresay.

The Sun are today reporting that OGS is set to be unveiled as manager......

......thats two days, and two different "unveilings" - maybe SO'D with OGS as his assistant then? HAHA!

Tweeted by Neil Allen at the snooze a couple of hours ago - Robins hasn't been interviewed, Coleman/Symons not in running, Wilkins interest denied. SOD and OGS still at front!

All is not lost for the OGS rumour <ok>

*sings* "OLE, OLE, OLE, OLE. OLEEEE OLEEEE" - come on CSI - make it so! Ole being manager would get people talking - and maybe a few cheeky loans from Sir Alex! Berba can't get a game at present! HAHA!

The radio commentators were talking about this last night and they made the point, I thought a very valid point, that it needs someone who has the character to bring the supporters together. As CSI are totally silent, Dave Lampitt is also too quiet, the manager needs to be the one, and SOD doesn't have that type of personality.

Hey Pompeymeowth, long time no see. I honestly think Sean O'Driscoll would do well for you guys. Before we appointed Adkins I was quite keen on giving O'Driscoll the chance to get us promoted from League One. Obviously in hindsight I am glad we didn't. But to keep Donny in this division for four years is an achievement.

Thanks 3rd eye606 and devonFRATTONiser I miss talking to the good old portsmouth faithful that have more to say than bilge!

I see what you are saying OddRiverOakWizards, but whilst SOD will probably be steady, I do think that OGS would probably (and hopefully) send out sides with a bit more panache & style, and be more daring on tactics and substitutions during the course of a game.

As Mike says above, it could even lead to a few of Sir Alex's reserves/youngsters making their way to Fratton Park on loan. Now there's a thought <ok>

The whole appointment of SO'D is not adding up for me - he was interviewed 2 weeks ago, so he must have had some credentials to meet CSI's criteria, yet nothing else has happened - almost as if CSI are waiting to pounce.

    Slowly softy catchy monkey!

I agree with Wooperts - it is about the results ultimately, but there also has to be passion and while SOD would be steady and play tippy-tappy football I wonder if he will have the other traits needed, ie. passion, imagination and understanding the fans. We've had a dismal time over the last few years and someone has to be a leader at that club.

    Agreed 3rd Eye.

I wonder if this is what the delay is? CSI know how much our club means to us - lets hope they have taken everything into consideration and are still looking at bringing the fans prefered choice in - Mr Ole Gunnar Solskjear!

There is one thing we have learned about CSI - they listen to the fans. Apparently they have staff who troll the internet and take comments to Dubov each morning. They would know the lack of excitement about SOD so perhaps they really are continuing to look for someone else.

But OGS has no proven track record in this division. Adkins and O'Driscoll have and look what Adkins managed with better resources at Saints compared to Scunny. OGS could work out but he could be another Di Canio.

<laugh> just reading the snooze webchat - some wag on there has said he'd rather see Paul O'Grady than Sean O'Dismal.
