The Adebayor song about elephants etc was certainly not invented by Arsenal fans as it was sung by opposing fans when he was an Arsenal player.

True it is yet to be "officially" proven, however Terry has stated that he used the words b**** c***.

What really baffles me it is clear at least from these singing fans that they blame Anton but are not looking at the idiot that said the words in the first place or placing the blame on Sky TVas they are the people that filmed it?

Don't you think they should direct their comments at Terry for lowering the club and to SKY for filming it??

Anyone who thinks playboy footballers shoud be role models for our children is a fool. But that's another debate...

Moral ethics doesn't come into it until Terry is proven to have done wrong. Until that happens I will support him. Terry has made his position clear and like a friend or family member, I will trust and believe his side until proven otherwise. Chelsea fans were showing that (probably in the wrong way but certainly not a racist way) last night.

100% agree. I have been in crowds at Chelsea when this has been sung. Point being this goes on all the time, it isn't right but in the context of other incidents, last nights incident was nothing.

Such a sad sorry state of this country that this non story is more news worthy than Billy Sharp and his heroics last night.

I used the word mindless because a player and captain like Terry should never be as foolish as to put himself in this position.
I used the word allegedly when talking about the incident. I also used "if and a big if"
Your own club has stated that the fans behaviour last night was inappropriate (and i think it was too)
I used the word fact to say that an official investigation has started (that is fact)
An official investigation would not have started unless their was enough evidence to warrant it.

No the y start an investigation becuase someone has made an allegation, when they charge him, is when they believe they will have evidence!

Don't ever forget that the media in this country is run by ex public schoolboys who think that all footballers and football fans are working class scum. You only have to compare the media's reporting of the England rugby team's behaviour at the RWC to the behaviour of footballers

I really do not think in the English PL, racism could exist. Without having the precise stats to hand, there must be a very large mixture of races and cultures involved in it. John Terry is far from being an angel , as the gutter press who seem to have him tailed 24/7, are forever telling us. But let us remember, he has captained for many years, Chelsea and England, both of which contain a large ethnic variety and this matter if it had existed would have shown itself long before the QPR match. Added to which CFC have been crusaders for "Kick racism out of sport" for many years.
The biggest surprises to me are, the amount of space the press are dedicating to this so called story, with so many bigger issues to deal with and the police complaining to have to deal with cutbacks and cant deal with serious crime, but have plenty of time to interview JT.
I am very anti-racism--but this business got completely out of hand!

The only disgusting thing in this saga is the tax payer's money being wasted on this farcical nonsense. No wonder this country is in such financial turmoil when time and money is spent on such trivial matters. Criminality? Terrorism? Unemployment? Spending cuts and tax rises? Forget all that! An ENGLISH CHELSEA PLAYER looks like he might have called someone a derogatory term, preceded by the word "black" based on what could be seen from a muted Sky Sports clip and thanks to some individuals having incredible lip reading capabilities! Now this IS a good excuse for a riot.

Broken Britain all over again. If John terry is cleared of any wrongdoing Anton Ferdinand should be made to pay all costs as well as financially compensating Terry for false accusations and defamation, that being after he has made a grovelling apology to him.

Police open an investigation, then gather eveidence afterwards.

Then if there is enough eveidence they can charge.

Once charged they can bring to trial.

But charges can be dropped at any stage

Personally, i think that we (QPR) have a rather nasty little song about Didier Drogba that has highly racist undertones that was sung rather enthusiastically by a large section of the QPR support waving goodbye to Didier when he got sent off.

What is it that Chelsea fans feel Ferdinand has done wrong?

How do QPR have any right to slag off our captain for misbehaving? Have they not seen theirs?!
