Day off today laddies (no, I didn't really mean ladies. Or did I?), just had an OP appointment and by coincidence it's my youngests 2nd birthday. Happy days, they keep a cantankerous old ****er relatively young. He's down his grans though, so it's Elbow in concert on the red button and some relative peace. Just realised that this is my 8th day off this year. I proper treat myself sometimes!

watched a bit of it myself this morning, don't like the direction they've gone musically(last 2 albums) but they are quality live & Guy Garvey is a natural born frontman - far better better Liam(had to get a dig in somewhere)
Funny you should mention that, I was choosing CD's to put in the car for this week and I came across Definitely Maybe and thought I'd give it a go. Average. At best, and it's their best album. Liam Gallagher has all the charisma of one of my turds, I loathe the ****. Don't mind Noel so much really. Elbow's latest album is an acquired taste, and I have acquired it, but The Seldom Seen Kid is a classic I will never get bored of. Leaders of the Free World is still their best effort though

Yeah, no doubt. I'm having three weeks off at Christmas apparently, not that I can really afford to do it. Two will be nice enough thank you, the extra week will be a bit too much.
yep for me L.O.T.F.W. is the best for me too, though there are a few quality tracks on Cast of Thousands - Fugitive Motel for one. I should give the new album more of a listen really

He's the best magician about, bar none. Even other magicians think what he does is impossible. I watched the DVD and it left me with a strange feeling. I'm not usually into magic but this guy is ****ing impressive.
I personally think the only weakish album they've made is Cast of Thousands. The rest are excellent. Got a Munich documentary to watch that I taped off the History channel weeks ago if I can keep my little un asleep for long enough.

Sweats. I see you were in Cheltenham this week. What's it like for a night out? We're sorting a stag do out for the festival on Gold Cup day and was wondering if it is worth going out there after or better off down to Bristol. We'll be absolutely ****ered by then of course.

Stay out in Cheltenham, Its a top night out.. I if everything goes to plan with the lady will be about.. There are some top places to go, though it will be mayhem on gold cup.. She lives not far from the race course.. There are some great bars proper posh places, a few chain type places too, lots of nice places to eat.. There is a whisky & Champagne bar in Montpellier I really want to go to. The club I went to on saturday was rammed full of totty, posh totty too..
